They are unethical and scandalous to say the least. After my wife and I reconciled I went through the process of requesting a refund for my retainer, which Shaun Smith said wouldn't be a problem. Immediately I was unable to reach their office, all forms of communication failed, nothing I did worked. After finally showing up at their office unexpected, I was able to talk to Shaun and he blatantly lied to me about how it was in process. Their office refuses to answer calls or responds to email only after a couple of days and always with some lie about the situation. I retained their services for one day in April 2014 and here it is January 2015 and they aren't responding to me or issuing my refund. I've filed a complaint with the California Bar against them, documenting the numerous emails where I was promised a refund and was never delivered.
