We had a horrible experience with this lawyer on the sale of our home, he was rude, condescending and demanding, despite the fact that we had hired HIM for his services and it was he who was serving us. He acted as if everything he was doing was a headache, despite the fact that he was being paid and law clerks (and not lawyers) do most of the leg work. He kept forgetting everything that we told him and would ask for the same things repeatedly, despite us already having discussed it with him. Several weeks after the sale of the house we were contacted by him and told that we owed nearly $3000 in property taxes on our recently sold home (that we needed to pay immediately) because the bank had dropped the ball and not paid out the final taxes to the city, something that was not in any of the documents provided to us by the lawyer. Further, we had signed paperwork saying that if any property taxes remained outstanding on the day of sale, our LAWYER was to pay it out of our proceeds.
