Hired (EV) when x. began proceeding asking for the moon, claimed every abuse imaginable. EV had little time to prepare & did a good job. In retrospect an easy case to win as OC provided NO evidence to support claims & we had lots to refute them. After gaining my trust EV took advantage of it. I hired him for an appeal claiming it to be very winnable which it was. OC brought a motion to stop the appeal with no evidence. We won. EV's cost submission $1500 below actual bill. Submitted without my knowledge or review. I was quoted at approx.$12,000 for the appeal which exploded to double. Day of appeal EV was sweating, twitching and shaking. Obviously ill prepared despite charging over 20 hours for prep. Later discovered in written decision he filed paperwork 7 months late. I lost. Hid his blunder entire time. Many issues with his bills, took legal action & got some $$ back. Too burnt out to report him to law society. Raking in as much $$ for the firm top priority. Buyer beware.

Elliot was great, he was recommended to me as I was in a very vulnerable position leaving an emotionally abusive ex. I would recommend Elliot to anyone needing a family lawyer. I mean he’s only human as all are and he tries to be conscious of spending for you as well as be efficient. We worked well together. He was compassionate to my situation and didn’t allow us to be dragged into the mud by my ex’s very unethical lawyer. He kept us focused and defended my rights. I was grateful for Elliot during this very difficult time. He was a friendly face and advisor who stood with me. I was only disappointed in the legal system as a whole, simply because it’s very much set up for the rich to try to bully. Elliot was confident in my case and he gave good advise with my interests at the forefront but realistic in expectations.

Elliot Vine was recommended to me, among others, to help with my separation. After interviewing three Family Law lawyers, I decided to move forward with Elliot. I'm glad I did. Elliot provided clear, concise information allowing me to make decisions that would have lasting impact. His approach to negotiation was very helpful as we went through the equalization of asset process. My spouse and I were amicable enough to discuss various separation terms, and Elliot provided excellent service putting our decisions into a formal document - efficiently and in understandable language! His approach is straight forward, concise and efficient. I definitely recommend.

I interviewed a number of lawyers and this is why I hired Elliot. First, he showed me the pay schedule. I knew exactly what I was paying for and how much. I showed him the Application filed against me which was 1 inch thick and full of rambling B/S. He flipped through it and said I am going to write half of this but that doesn't mean I am not working hard on your case. Lean, clean and mean. Less is more efficient and affective. Elliot was open to working together with me and when I read his material he didn't take offence if I worded something better or I corrected a spelling mistake. He is a client focussed lawyer and straight shooter. I like his style and would highly recommend him.

Elliot is an extremely personable and knowledgeable lawyer that helped me through the entire legal process with my separation agreement. He was able to simplify the steps I needed to take to come to a successful outcome. He also writes a wonderfully succinct and pointed letter when you really need it. From separation to Separation Agreement it has been 10 long months. Elliot has been representing me for the last 6 months. Here is the email I sent him the evening of our Case Conference where we were able to win on every major point, with the judge backing our position. "I just wanted to send a quick note before I begin celebrating. Thank you to you (and your team), for bringing me through this. I couldn't be happier with the result. I mentioned to you that it is very rare for me to place so much trust in someone representing me on a matter like this - large money at stake with so many emotional events. Your attention to the issues and communication with me left me feeling quite confident this morning, thank you again". Elliot refused to be baited by opposing counsel into running up my bill, he is efficient, understands the probabilities and explained everything to me. There were no surprises or disappointments, I was prepared for everything. Thanks again Elliot!

Elliot was extremely professional and knowledgeable during the entire 6 months it took for us to resolve this case. He gave me an honest expectation of the time I would need to invest as well as the money I could possibly pay if different scenarios were to arise. We were dealt with an opposing lawyer that was not easy to deal with and dragged things out longer than they needed to but Elliot kept me focused on the end goal and we eventually got the outcome that we both wanted. Elliot will be honest with you regarding your expectations, give you great advice when you're thrown a curve ball and ultimately will get you a resolution that you will be happy with. He will not waste your time or your money and I recommended him to anyone looking for his services during a divorce. Thank you Elliot for all of your help.

I hired elliot to help me win custody of my kids. My wife was being a **** and not letting me share 50/50 custody with her but we went to court court and get what I wanted. He seemed to charge alot for everything but he did tell me in advnace that if we couldnt' settle outside of court it would be expensive.
