Daphne Dumont is a wonderful human being and an excellent lawyer. She was my Dad’s lawyer. That is how I met her, and I am fortunate enough to have her as my lawyer now. She actually attended my Dad’s wake when he died in 2006. I was so surprised and impressed. I will always remember her standing there in line with all the ordinary folks. Daphne is one of the most intelligent people I know - a graduate of Oxford University, England, and a recipient of the Order of Canada. However, the wonderful thing about Daphne is that she has never let any of her many accomplishments go to her head. She is completely down to earth. When I was having a particularly difficult time in my personal life, she took the time to counsel me over the phone, and she didn’t charge me for it.
