This guy is a scam! He’ll take your money and file no case or don’t show up at your hearing. He left me hanging at my hearing after I paid him$3500. Don’t waste your money he’s a scam he doesn’t have a physical office he just uses other peoples office for few minutes just to take the retainer from you and then afterwards block your contacts.

During our initial consult we were reassured we had a great case. We paid his retainer fee before we left his office.
After that it went downhill. We left messages for him (phone calls and emails) and it took weeks for a response. When he did respond he was apologetic and continued to reassure us. Told these things take time but he was doing the best he could. When he did respond it was also an excuse or reason for why it was taking so long. We even received a fake letter he claimed to have received from the state only to be told later after being questioned it was a sample letter from another case. This is fraud. How does someone do this to people and sleep at night? How is he still practicing law?
The time for ensuring the case has passed and we are left with a sour taste. We should have listened to the reviews that warned us against hiring him. Do yourself a favor and go with someone who will actually do their job and not steal your money and piece of mind.

I started my uncontested divorce process with him 2 years ago and Still no divorce . I did several intakes with various paralegals at his firm, I made payment for retainers, and fees on the very first week. I have not only emailed his firm but have tried calling daily, no answer. Last email I got from his firm, was to tell me that " they hired a paralegal in Buffalo to submit my paperwork", and then no more correspondence, I hired this attorney because of his reviews on here, but I regret it because it doesn’t take over 2 years for a simple uncontested divorce. Be cautious.

Mr. Gilmer is competent and reasonably confident.He was a beacon of hope to me and my family at a time when our options appeared limited .Not only was he able to reach a sactisfactory result,and joint custody plus relocation, his calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional support to myself and those I care about.Mr.Gilmer provided unparallel services at a reasonable cost I could not afford elsewhere.No where could I find a lawyer that could represent me at the cost I paid. This creep took our money, failed to provide a service, we sued him for theft, he failed to show up for any of the court dates, giving the court bogus excuses. been over a year. We have a final court date in September at which time his tainted name will be slapped with a judgement against him. Save yourself the trouble and don't do business with this snake.

George Gilmer hasn't filed a divorce I paid him for in full 3 months ago. Has no excuse other than he is sorry and busy. He doesn't respond to emails and can't be reached on the phone. I have hired a new attorney since he hasn't been able to complete the most basic of tasks. Since he has done nothing on my case I asked for a fefund that request has been ignored My advice is to spend a few bucks more and AVOID George Gilmer.. Instead of making a difficult time go smooth now I also need to start a case against an attorney I hired. Makes no sense to me. Do the job you were paid to do or refund the money you took as a retainer. Seems like basic business 101.
