I had an extremely disappointing experience with P. Madhi. It was clear from the start that her priorities were skewed towards her own interests rather than mine. She consistently pushed her own agenda, disregarding my needs and concerns.
Her lack of honesty was particularly troubling. On multiple occasions, she provided misleading information and then tried to cover it up when confronted. This behavior eroded any trust I had in her and made an already stressful situation even worse.

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! Stay away. Very unprofessional and cares about nothing but driving their bills up. Will drag your matter, add more drama to the problem. Save yourself the headache and find a better more prepared lawyer.

I wish I searched reviews before starting to work with Ms. Mahdi. What a nut bar! She acts so unprofessional! Like a child with Daddy issues. She is never prepared, drags cases out A LOT longer than they need to be just to inflate her billings. I sure hope Karma comes to bite her for how she treats clients, others, and the court. A disgrace! There are so many professional lawyers in the city. Don’t waste anytime with this one.

Ms. Mahdi was very argumentative and combative throughout the court proceedings. She seemed focused more on fighting with opposing counsel and taking shots at the opposing counsel instead of focusing on possible settlement. Nitpicked relentlessly on things which, at the end of the day were unimportant. Made some comments about her own client which made me wonder whose back she really had if at all. Definitely not the lawyer I expected from her other reviews.

Ms. Mahdi is a very bright person who seems somehow unhappy with her work. She presented herself to me as particularly expert dealing with narcissists, having just split up with her husband who - so she claims - is a narcissist. However, what I found over an extended period of time is that if anyone is likely a narcissist, it is her. Many times Ms. Mahdi told me she is a “great lawyer” but actually I found her so-so. She can present herself impressively and knows how to recover from mistakes (and she tends to make mistakes more than occasionally), but the overall feeling with her is one of disappointment. She pretended to be concerned to get my business but then jacked her rate up to $525/hour from less than $400/hour. I think she cons clients like me and then projects any problems back on to clients, many of whom seem to go along with her bulldozing. She also pretended to be proficient in my area of practice but she hardly knew a thing. I found her a fraud, a rip-off - and an abuser.

Poroshad is very professional, dedicated to her clients and compassionate. My case was complicated as my Ex was creating problems and hurdles every step of the way and we ended up going to trial. Despite things dragging over a span of years, Poroshad being so organized and meticulous got the decision in my favor in all aspects of custody and financials/costs - even more than what I was expecting. She never sugar coats things or makes false promises. She tells you things as they are but then fights for you to the best of her abilities. I can’t thank her enough for being there with me every step of the way in this hard journey. Would recommend her 100 %

Ms. Mahdi is professional, efficient and cost-effective. She listened carefully to my situation and focused on what would be most impactful. In my case (I am the husband), we have had about 8 years of going back and forth and she came in and wrapped things up nicely for me - we had already agreed on the big portions. She is a go-getter type, but is also empathetic and kind, though it may not appear that way since she is trying to be efficient for you. I wish the best for Poroshad going forward and believe that a large portion of the peace of mind I currently enjoy is due to her efforts.

I would, without hesitation recommend Poroshad Mahdi.
Ms. Mahdi is calm, honest, empathetic and her demeanor offered me the emotional support I needed to get through a very difficult time and was also very compassionate to the needs of my children. Not only did she offer this support but also achieved for me a favourable resolution where it appeared my options were limited and seemed impossible to overcome.
Simply she is amazing at what she does!!

I am grateful to have found Poroshad. From the response to my ex’s Application,motion,Affidavits,Financial statements,filling,serving,first appearance,case Conference, Settlement conference. good knowledge of documents required, able to establish an agreement outside of court. I was stressed, anxious and unclear of what should be done, regardless, Porshad made time available to explain the processes involved, gather the information of my situation to support my case and be ready for all court meetings. I have never met anyone who works faster or is more efficient than Poroshad. The quality of her work is second to none. Poroshad would prepare detailed material in a single meeting. The material prepared was fantastic. The judge even commented that he found our case conference brief very helpful. My last lawyer would milk everything and ended up charging me twice as much, for lower quality work, because he was just so slow.

If you want someone that can read Ms. Mahdi can do so but if you want someone to avidly defend your rights this is not the person. At a hearing she just read directly from my affidavit and regularly asked me to locate certain paragraphs to counter argue against OC. Claimed that OC was bringing in new evidence but if she prepared and read their material she would've seen this was admissible. All it took to refute the OC claim was one simple sentence but since she looked like a fool she stayed quiet the rest of the hearing.

Poroshad is an amazing lawyer. She takes great pride in her work and actually cares about you and your case. Poroshad is very knowledgeable and gives you the best advise to resolve the matter efficiently and less cost effective. I came to Poroshad after leaving my first lawyer since he was just wasting my money and was not getting anything settled. As soon as I hired Poroshad all my matters were getting settled. Amazing lawyer. If you want someone who knows their stuff inside out and cares about her clients, she is the one. Poroshad was my second lawyer. The difference between Poroshad and my first lawyer was like night and day. My first lawyer ignored me except to ask for money. Poroshad always responded to my calls and emails quickly. Throughout my proceproceedings, Poroshad remained calm and focussed, even when dealing with a very "difficult" lawyer who represented my wife. When in court, Poroshad submitted documents that were detailed, logical and well laid out. So the Judge could easily understand my case and quickly reference any points when Poroshad directed her to documentation. Because of this and Poroshad's logical approach to presenting arguments at court, it became obvious to me that judges appreciated this approach and were leaning in her favour. It was with relief that I watched the opposing lawyer presenting what amounted to pompous grandstanding (it did take some time), and watch his attempts spiral down against Poroshad's complete professional approach to the entire case. Poroshad's approach and professionalism rate 5/5 in my books.

Poroshad Mahdi is without a doubt one of the finest human beings I've ever known. She has been representing my interests since 2013. I trust her judgement and her ability without question. Her ability to analyze complex evidence and find the truth inspires great confidence. She is the most skillful lawyer I've ever observed during cross examination in the court room and during discovery. It was her relentless ability to cross examine and her analysis of complex evidence that led to the numerous victories at the Superior Court and Appeal Court level.
