Retained to handle an estate dispute along with another lawyer. Other lawyer was to handle dependent adult dispute not estate portion.Estate plan prepared by large law firm/large accounting firm not Simmons. Provided Simmons with 2 binders of documents including Wills , estate plan, tax ruling. None of the documents were provided to court or to opposing counsel. First day Arrived in court & complained to judge that he was fired. He was not fired - just wanted more money.(did not communicate that he would be in court on first day - other lawyer was supposed to attend) Next time arrived in court late. Missed deadline to respond to application/affidavit from other side. Did not question affidavits from other side. Supposed to be a tax lawyer - he did not indicate that he had any knowledge of tax law.
