Derek’s lack of communication is very worrying as he’s to represent his clients and he fails to keep them updated on anything, he will claim he is working on case, but never talks what he has done. Emails to Derek never get a response, and relying on him im court is a joke, I don’t want to blame his age, but it seems that his hearing and frustrating falling into sleep when on stand is not fair as he’s my council and is not fair for me. He also lied in court implying that we have talked about my case with certain details for 1hour and that was not true. And won’t work with me knowing I have places a request transfer through legal aid. I hope he retires because hes No longer fit to do this job with people relying on him and his failure to represent..

is very unorganized and has a hearing problem. Was not good for trail lawyer.The Crown had to counsel him a few times. The judge seemed very angered with his lack of organization in questioning witness.
