I met Layth at a networking function a couple years ago. We entered into a verbal agreement that he would pay me referral fees for any referrals I sent his way. I sent him a lot of referrals. and Clients he signed. Well, he has not lived up to any of his promises. This guy is a LIAR AND A THIEF. He will lie just to get your business. I looked him up on the law society website and discovered that he had disciplinary hearings. Proves me right. This is posted on the Law Society Website: Layth Hasrat Gafoor (the Respondent) was found to have engaged in professional misconduct for: (2) having received by cheque and deposited into trust retainer funds for the AB matter, mishandling those trust funds by: (a) withdrawing $16,000 on January 10, 2013 absent any of the permitted circumstances under which such trust money may be withdrawn; and (b) withdrawing $8,000 on February 25, 2013 absent any of the permitted circumstances under which such trust money may be withdrawn.
