This lawyer was very nice when he wanted a new client and went downhill very quickly. I would not recommend him to anyone. He led me down a path of promises that never came through. He could not take direction from me, the client. He did not return phone calls and led me to believe he could close my real estate deal through escrow but he was unsuccessful and would not communicate the truth. My purchase was before COVID 2019 and he blamed his mistakes on this and his staff. He is a very bad lawyer and should have to be accountable for his lack of knowledge and very bad customer relations. Do not hire him.

Difficult man to deal with. It is all about getting money and when you try to assert your legal rights to things he becomes defensive and hostile. Then he tries to intimidate you and suggests you will be billed extra. Would never use him as a lawyer. He withholds information you are legally entitled to and does not promote honest behaviour and integrity on the part of his clients. Just tries to intimidate and threaten you when you push anything with him.

The worst many have been to, he now advertises at the hockey rink for business but others who have been fleeced are also advertising ....go elsewhere, find the ring of lawyers who do nothing but take your money and run and exclude them from your service roster. (Angus would be in that roster) Learn how to manage, find a friend to take with you or search the internet for advocates but whatever you do, stay away from the ilks of this type.

Office employees are A-1, always fast to get back to us. Fraser&Bickerton have been our company lawyer for awhile and we have zero complaints. Diane is great, Angus has lots of valuable knowledge and cost for services are fair. Thanks again.

Not honest with me, would not take my direction but rather would give me instructions as though I was working for him. He billed for his dishonesty and failed to represent. I would never recommend Angus to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Save your money and go out of town if you must but stay away from Bickerton unless you enjoy a fleecing.

Friendly looking, nice office but does nothing but take your money. Tells you what you wish to hear and then drops the ball. Save your time, save your money and find someone else who comes highly recommended.

I'm very practical and choose my battles wisely based on information not emotion. I was given poor advice and promises that later turned out to be a fantasy and never possible. These were told to me by him and terms I've never heard of prior. He later said that he never told me that. He also failed to know a point of law that I ended up researching and even the opposing lawyer relented. I agree with the other commenter on here. Bickerton is personable and comes across as caring but in the end, I felt like my money was sucked dry for nothing. If he had been honest and upfront in the beginning, I would saved a lot of money going back and forth.

I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. He sells himself as caring, competent but in the end, he has taken your money and simply wants out. He threatened to leave me without an attorney if I did not agree to the terms my ex put forth, this was minutes before we were to go before the judge. Clearly did not represent me.
