Mr. Kirkham seems to have a reasonable knowledge of Family Law. He will not provide you with concrete recommendations. You will receive his opinion on all the possible outcomes and what a judge might think, but I would be surprised if he has ever given a solid recommendation on a course of action and his opinion on the likely result of that recommendation. I never felt like he had a vested interest in me as a client. He is friendly enough and he will listen to you. In my case, the divorce and custody settlement process took a few years, partly because of an uncooperative ex. Whenever it was time to revisit the case, Mr. Kirkham had to be reminded of key points relevant to the divorce and custody. His personality is calm and I believe that serves him well in front of a judge. Overall, just felt like he could have done a little better to resolve the matter in a shorter time frame, with a lower cost.
