Someone asked me to respond to a "review" they read about me on this website recently. I don't normally spend a lot of time googling my own name, so I looked into the matter. I was shocked when I saw what was posted. This is not a "review" but is completely fictitious. There is no such person. I brought this to the attention of the website administrator, and they chose to leave it up despite the fact it is completely made up. Further, I was given no way to respond at all other than by posting this comment. It is so disappointing that someone can anonymously destroy the reputation I have worked for 34 years to earn so easily. I guess that is the world we live in now. Sigh.

She agreed to a price when the money came in she tried to charge me an extra $8000! I was a single mom on welfare and that's what she thought she could get away with. Unproffesiional and will bail on your case if it gets complicated. Doesn't return phone calls but then wants to charge you long distance and photo copying fees! Stay away you have been warned. There is so much I could not possible say everything she did wrong!

I retained Jean Friessen to handle a separation matter for me. In the initial consultation and throughout, she made it sound like I had a great case which compelled me to keep paying more and more fees which added up very quickly. She decided to bail on my case right after discoveries and right before a trial because it (in so many words) wasn't important enough in comparison to other clients files she had going on at the time that she decided she wanted to "focus on". I had already paid her almost $10,000.00 at that point. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
