Went with this lawyer when going through nursing school, being separated from my kids and a nightmare ex husband dragging me through the system. Thanks to this woman not giving a s*** about my case my ex ended up with the house and my kids while I was made an access parent after raising them practically solo for 9 years. She had her assistant call and say I was out of hours and forced me to accept a deal that ruined my life. I hate her so much and I bet I'm not the only one. She had the worst communication and honestly didn't care at all it was just pushing to get stuff done. Now it's 9 years later and I am STILL IN COURT WITH MY EX WHO IS NEGLECTING THE KIDS SHE HAD ME LOSE THEM TO. DO NOT HIRE THIS WASTE OF AIR.

I met Gretchen for a consultation since the lawyer I had retained was not client responsive at all. In this one hour consultation, Gretchen was able to provide so much clarity. This is so helpful during a time of separation since it can be so confusing to navigate the law. She provided a solution with my complex financial situation and with children involved. I have since fired my retained lawyer and retained another lawyer for the collaborative law. Highly recommend Gretchen, she will find you solutions and is highly client responsive.

It’s too bad more people don’t take the time to leave honest feedback that isn’t positive because I think the reviews would come out in bulk as negative for Gretchen Reitzel. Her dishonesty and covering her own back has left a permanent mark making it difficult for me to ever find a legal aid lawyer again. That is not a small thing. From the start my case was not worth her time and she literally spent more time hearing out the other side while refusing to take any history of the family violence I experienced or the ongoing threats I was receiving. After asking many times if I wanted to still try and stay out of court with an agreement the other party jumped out of a Trojan horse to announce no agreement would be made. What did Gretchen do? She told me I was out of hours and she quit my case. I was well positioned for sole custody; the judge recommended it. But self representing was stressful. I think it took time off my life, what I went through. Wish I had not met Gretchen. AVOID.

I can echo what the other person said. Gretchen never listened to me. I would send her several emails asking her legal advice. she wouldn't return my phone calls for three weeks and yet she charged me for analyzing my phone messages and emails. She charged me a total of $2000 and after 4 months she was not even able to do a separation agreement. She made comments in the couple of meetings we had that I couldn't believe I was hearing.I was wondering if she is on my side or she was my ex's lawyer. She might claim that she charges only 250/hr or so but considering her lack of efficiency and knowledge you will pay a lot more. It was a total waste of money and time for me. I switched to another lawyer and am extremely happy. I wish I had never hired Gretchen.

Terrible lawyer ever. She couldn’t help my boyfriend with his simple separation agreement. Over 6 month to start it she charged him $1,000 2 times and dhe had nothing ready plus $200 on phone call that he didn’t even got to speak to her. He will always speak with the assistant And she will always said that Gretchen is really busy this week. He had to change lawyer and spent more money. At the end Gretchen sent a msg literally saying that she was in side of the ex. Like giving reasons to the ex. She was supposed to work for him. Not for her. Terrible experience. My boyfriend will write a better review about all the matters.
