Terrible arbitrator, incredibly dishonest, a biased liar who favored the ex, sneaky & sloppy, never understood the facts, awarded assets that I had paid on since inception, dragged out the arbitration process for more than 2 years, asked for $3,500 for a correction of the award and produced 3 pages! Covered for my ex when she stole 2 of my trucks worth $100K & sold them to a Advantage Ford. Then I had to go back to the dealership & re-purchase my truck back! Finds out what assets you have then, awards against you to take your last money for a brutal award. I gave him notice that I was discontinuing his jurisdiction and he went ahead on the only application of my ex and issued the sale of my personal residence during the Pandemic. Awarded my ex $55K in legal fees. Even appointed a real estate agent to list my house for sale when there was no court order! This process was more expensive than QB. Save your $ as this arb process is seriously flawed. Ban this guy from ever practicing again!

I cannot recommend Kevin Hannah. Of the >100 lawyers/arbitrators I have hired in 30+ years, he is the least competent by far. He struggled to understand basic financial and commercial matters, made many serious and costly errors of law and finding of fact (as determined by a major firm litigator), breached the Arbitration Act, made rulings beyond his jurisdiction, and caused needless delays that dragged out the file. Upon being informed of the errors he made, he neither apologized nor made restitution. I suspect the 5 ratings below (Oct./17) are planted given the timing cluster and very general comments. Of the many exceptional lawyers I've worked with, few would be rated 5 across the board, and anyone with any real experience on legal files would not rate Mr. Hannah a 5 in any category. I have received many complaints similar to mine from others about his performance since my file concluded.

As good as they get. Negative ratings must be opposite clients or losers in arbitration’s he did. Nothing else makes any sense. He was recommended by everyone And straight forward and direct. I don’t think anyone can expect a better lawyer for family law.

This lawyer will find out how much money you have then try and milk you for as much as he thinks you will spend. Professional manipulator. Also, he doesn’t play fair. I actually don’t understand how he even has one good rating

Mr Hannah was unfair in his decisions. He delayed for months as he went away on an unannounced sabbatical for close to 2 months. If you are a woman seeking fairness, be careful. My ex was not forced to provide full disclosure. I disclosed fully. His business was not valued at all and the delays in the process were lengthy and very costly. I would suggest a divorce company instead of mediation and arbitration. My assets were dessimated by 4 lawyers (my ex being one). Be very careful. I expect to be held accountable for this review.

Mr. Hannah represented me in a divorce finalized over a year ago. Now that the dust has settled, I feel like I have a reasonably objective view. I can promise anyone reading this, there is no way to make it pleasant. Having said that I would like to thank Mr. Hannah for not only keeping me focused, but also for preserving my sanity. The process is going to take at least twice as long as you think. More likely 5-6 times as long. It's painful. It's the way the system works. Despite my anxieties over time, cost, and concessions, Mr. Hannah was able to educate and guide me through the hell that you are now about to embark on. He is patient, understanding, level-headed and supportive. He comes with knowledge and experience that are priceless. His approach is one of methodical objectivity and respect. He helped keep me from becoming someone I despise. Now looking back, I know that not only I, but my children benefitted from this. Two thumbs up. Keep up the good work Kevin!

Outstanding Lawyer!
I cannot say enough about Kevin’s professionalism and integrity. With a very thorough understanding and support of my legal matters, Kevin always provided excellent advice and representation during very extreme high conflict and litigation abuse I was challenged with. Kevin’s knowledge, negotiating and strategic skills were exceptional in both mediation and in court which always resulted in my favour.
Kevin does not waste your time or money. He always maintained a very upfront and to the point within all levels of communication between all parties with fairness and honesty.
Kevin is an excellent lawyer, I was referred to him from another highly regarded lawyer and firm.
He is very personable, caring and experienced lawyer that knows what he is doing.
In my opinion Kevin would be a great arbitrator/judge.

Kevin Hannah is a trustworthy, understanding and honest professional lawyer. His Legal experience and vast knowledge in family law were instrumental in guiding me through a very complicated difficult divorce. He has a calm and controlled personality but was strong when needed. Mr. Hannah would take time to answer phone calls to answer my questions and his administrative staff was extremely professional and personable during a very difficult time in my life. Kevin Hanna also helped me understand things that really were important and mattered. Having to deal with Tax Lawyers and Tax accountants Kevin proved not only to be smart but had a team to assist if needed. I always felt I was in good hands. Mr. Hanna also is a personable kind man and one DAMN amazing lawyer.

I have just seen the reviews posted on Mr Hannah and must say that I was quite shocked as my experience has been completely opposite of what has been posted on here. I retained Mr Hannah over two years ago to represent me throughout my extremely high conflict divorce proceedings. His knowledge of family law exceeded my expectations. What I particularly liked about Mr Hannah was that he was always honest with me.....even if it was something that I didn’t necessarily want to hear. He didn’t give me false expectations and helped keep a very stressful and conflicted divorce into perspective for me. What I also really liked about him was that was he was fair. Having two young children he was always helping and guiding both myself and my ex spouse to do what is fair, what is right, and most importantly what is best for our children. He is expensive, but that is because of his seniority, wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Mr. Hannah claims to be a professional mediator. However, his approach to mediation is one of conflict and adversarial approach. What could be communicated in one email takes ten - It suggests that there is 'milking' of his client. Discernment of fact over fiction is also of question?

Seemed kind and caring at the time, but after leaving the mediation his work was sloppy, he missed important pieces of my case and settled without all the information. Then he charged additional fees without my consent and wont respond to my emails. Terrible experience overall. Wish I would have gone with someone else.

Don't go to this lawyer. He is a liar and very sneaky. Only cares about how much money he is making and will drain your bank accounts without the desired result your hoping for. Way over priced and still over charges you. Very enithical. Stay away!!! Alll the lawyers and judges work together. It's truly scary

This lawyer is ready to retire. He is underhanded and dishonest. He cannot afford an assistant therefore very disorganized. He is more interested in his billings than anything else. He shared my file with another client. He is careless and has little or no ethics. Makings for a family lawyer but not if you want to have a fair settlement. Family lawyers are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the discipline of law. He is a little man and little morals. Lots of promises upfront and then little or no results. This is a perfect career for him. He took advantage of me and likes working with women. Mostly women, I wonder why?
