I hired Mr. John Silvester in 2018 as my family lawyer on a case pertaining to custody of my 3 year old daughter. Mr. Silvester was very helpful, and I especially appreciated the fact that he was willing to meet me on weekends. After a battle that lasted about two years at the Milton courthouse, Mr. Silvester was able to successfully obtain custody and child support for me. His fees were also very reasonable.
Thank you for journeying with me throughout those stressful and difficult times. You are the best and I'll always respect you for going that extra mile and beyond the call of duty.

Mr. Silvester represented me in civil court litigation action in Toronto Court that I brought against a former employer who refused to pay me thousands of dollars that were owed to me on account of work that I had faithfully performed for that employer. I initially thought that there was little chance of recovering the money that was owed to me (more than $10,000). but Mr. Silvester filed a statement of claim on my behalf, and he then made clear to the other side that he would not back down until they agreed to pay everything that was owed to me. We thus were able to settle the case at a pre-trial meeting with a judge . I cannot that John enough for the services rendered and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the care and concern he showed me. If it weren't for his knowledge, analysis and communication skills, this matter wouldn't have been settled in my favor. Thank you Mr. Silvester, I take great pride in writing this note as a token of my appreciation for representing me in a professional disciplinary proceeding. A former client wrongfully accused me of overcharging her for services rendered, and a complaint was thus brought before the college that governs my profession. For confidentiality reasons I choose not to elaborate further on the details of the case, but I can say John that you worked diligently to present my side, and a positive result was obtained that has permitted me to continue with my career.

Complete waste of time and money. You are better off representing yourself than wasting your money on this lawyer. Barely responded to emails and when he did it was vague. Cared more about money than actually fighting for the client's best interest. Save your time and money and just look for someone else.

I am a staff at a fertility clinic based in Toronto, and we have referred several clients to John Silvester during the last few years. Our patients have been very pleased with John’s level of service. A legal contract is needed when people wish to use a surrogate to help them have a child. John has drafted several surrogacy contracts for our intended parent patients, and he gets the contracts done on a timely basis. Many of our patients have told me that John was very helpful in answering all of their questions about the surrogacy process. I know that he takes the time to ensure that the patients understand the contents of the contract before it is signed.
John is very respectful of his clients, and he will do what is needed to assist them. We had a patient a few years ago who was physically handicapped but yet had a dream of having a child of his own, and John made several trips to the patient’s home because it was difficult for the patient to get out of his own home and tra

All that he is interested in is money. He is utterly incompetent! His advise is absolutely useless, so if you need a lawyer, just avoid him!
