My son was 13 when he asked again to not have to go to two homes and to stay primarily with me, understandable as he has had two homes since he was 2. Sue Paterson met with my son, a mature very intelligent boy less then 2 hours in total. This was to be about him yet she spent more time with the stepmother. Her conclusion was that I, the mother, was brain washing him. Now my son is 16 and the step mother counts any extra minute he is with his mom that she deems owing her. Sue Paterson failed to recognize the truth and her help, Karen Guthrie Douse, is far from a psychologist. They do not take the proper time to talk to the children and they are not qualified to discover the truth. I suggest you find a lawyer that can be bias and focus on the child, as a children lawyer is suppose to do.

Sue Paterson is just an amazing approachable lawyer.
When you sit down with her, she listens and keeps you focused on the "big" picture, Sue has great empathy and truly cares for your future. She turned around my view of what lawyers were about in a very positive way, and I know that she would be there in the future if ever I needed her.
Sue is Very trustworthy; she is a great communicator, very knowledgeable.

I felt really comfortable with Sue. She took the time to explain things to me, including the legal verbiage and providing sample scenarios of what things meant, so that I knew what I was getting into legally. Sue is super friendly and approachable which is a big plus. In terms of appointments, it was straight forward. Payment was very clear. Working with Sue was very educational and I had a great experience and feel relieved at the end results.
