Sebastian was excellent with communication and finding answers if he did not have them. Highly recommend him for divorce proceedings.

This lawyer STINKS! You look at all of his degrees and you think your getting a great lawyer as he talks the talk but definitely doesn’t walk the walk. Nice guy is about the only positive thing I could say about him. The lawyer hired by the ex wife pushed him around and dictated to him. He told us he would have the ex-wife pay for his services and get her to pay alimony. We were about to enter court and he cut a deal that he said was the best deal possible so thinking he was a good lawyer went along with him. When we received the cheque in the mail there was $17,000 deducted for his services. When approached he said it was never discussed. So if you are on ODSP pay for a proper divorce lawyer and avoid this guy at all costs!

Excellent work by an excellent lawyer. Sebastian is efficient, erudite, responsive, on time, does his research and is very amicable. He's fast becoming one the best lawyers in Durham. His dedication to my case was stellar and amazing. He didn't miss anything. If you have all the facts and are available when needed to sign documents or answer questions, then he will not disappoint.

Sensation Duff was hired by my x husband and to help him not pay his child support. He stood up in court and lied over and over again . I couldn’t believe the things he had made up, there was written proof what he was saying was not true. His go to is to threaten to question you!! Sebastian I would welcome your questions as it would give me a chance to call you on everything you made up, I did however guess correctly that you would not follow up on your threat as you knew what you did.

This lawyer will eat your money at $250/hour but make sure he books his legal aid cases on the same day his paying clients have their court dates. He is bullied in court and never prepared forgetting paperwork crucial to your case. He’s in it for the bucks and that’s that. He will advise this is the best deal you will get and not actually adhere to court orders once finalized. He loves to tell his client one thing and do the complete opposite in court. He’s always willing to send emails and communicate even pushing for mediation before the court order allows mediation always racking up a nice bill for himself. He’s a blubbering idiot when called out face to face or via email. Do yourself a favour and stay far far away

This lawyer is a complete disaster! He got his client sued. He definetly did not follow the " lawyers duty to advise clients of the actual law. Mr. Duff combines allegations and has no sense on caring for best interest of children in his practice! Greatly we were compensated. Horribleness of a lawyer! Run the next way

I ha retained a lawyer that Mr.Duff had just started working for. Before he took on my case it was moving so slowly and I could barely get a response or any sense of caing from the first lawyer. Mr.Duff was kind, took the time to listen and give guidance and ALWAYS followed up. I never had to go to court proceedings because of his commitment to my case and seeing the outcome was to my satisfaction. I would recommend this Lawyer again

Before I hired this lawyer, I had been in court three times and nothing happened. I hired Sebastian and it only took him one court appearance and everything was settled. He actually returned my phone calls and e-mails. He took time to explain everything about the court and what to expect. I got what I had been asking months for and my ex had to pay for my legal bill. Sebastian came recommended to me and I can see why, he knows exactly what he is doing. I would highly recommend Sebastian!

This lawyer was an absolute disaster. He was unprepared when he arrived to represent me in court - and showed no confidence in front of the Judge, or knowledge when it came to preparing the simplest of court forms. I could have represented myself better, which I essentially had to do - when the judge basically told him to sit down and let me speak, since he was so awkwardly unprepared and obviously not able to represent me properly. He billed me for errors that HE made (I.e. Not copying me on all correspondence, despite me asking him to, then billing me when I emailed him to ask why I WASN'T copied on certain documents), serving a version of a document that I EXPRESSLY told him not to send, then billing me for calling to ask why he would blatantly go against those wishes, billing me at his rate for things that were done (or should have been done) by a law clerk, etc. If you're not into looking like an idiot when you appear In court - then I would not recommend this lawyer.
