1785 dollars, I didn't go to court, he wrote one letter and pulled 1case file from city that's it , and no breakdown of his charges when he sent closing letter,,so.the lawyers charge 200 say for a letter and 200 say for the file pull, I have the 2500 receipt from certified cheque, YOU DO THE MATH and 240 I think GST..He had my 2500 for 5 years almost making interest I'm sure too, I'm done

I was advised that Ted Charuk charged a certain rate prior to the phone call. He acknowledged the rate 20 minutes into the phone call, said it was "just an advertised rate", and then tried to more than double it before even arranging for a meeting with me. This is a classic case of a lawyer being all about the money and nothing else.

I retained Mr charuk in May 2015 for custody, support and visitation changes to an existing order that originated out of province. Over the following 2 years he guided me through my family court proceedings, providing me with all the support and knowledge that comes with a well-seasoned lawyer. Upon retaining he was at Ross & McBride, now he has opened his own practice and even whilst trying to build his clientele base, he still found the time to talk with me regarding my court situation. Finally two years later everything was completed, and this was only due to Ted, and his team of course, being so diligent and pressing for my matter be finalized. He always maintained a high level of professionalism, incredibly respectful, and knowledgeable. He's not afraid to tell you if your expectations are too high or too low. I think all of this is what makes any lawyer a great one. I would definitely endorse Ted charuk.

I destroyed this guy by myself. I didn't even need a lawyer. As someone pointed out, if your ex gets him, you're laughing.

I met initially to define the issues and then received very clear and informative advice on the process and timelines. Ted Charuk and team helped me step by step when dealing with a family member's estate. You don't realize how much is involved in being an executor until you have to do it. There is so much involved and it's overwhelming I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Charuk and team for any legal issues in regards to wills, estates or any other areas he practices.

Very easy to work with, always looks at both sides to determine the best route... unlike some other lawyers that would be out for blood in my specific situation. Kept on top of my file and followed up via email for our phone conversations for clarity sake.

Awful. He has the knowledge from experience but lacks tenacity to get things done. He rarely calls you back and NEVER answers his calls and only contacts you when he is setting up to collect his money. His secretaries also never answer but have no problems sending you the account balance and they would send other information as well but more paperwork and responses from my ex's lawyer. He overcharges WAY more than he should but tries to sell himself like a sly car salesman. He was professional. His administrative work was well done but he often forgot important details and had to be reminded. He is honest which is refreshing. I wish I had not used him as my result was very unsatisfactory and I'm finding myself another lawyer that will hopefully do better and is cheaper for my situation that is yet to be settled.
