She likes the money, but she doesn't want to work for it. I had her as my lawyer back in Winnipeg and she really wasn't working for me. I was too young at the time and stuck with her. Bad decision.

I found her to be quite incompetent & dishonest in her charges. She charged me for work she had not done and also for someone else's file. Her other charges were inflated & when she was questioned about them, I did not receive any answers. I was very unhappy with the service I received.

Ms. McManus is a lackluster lawyer. She overcharges, takes forever to get anything done, and her attention to detail is horrendous. Look elsewhere if you need a competent lawyer.

This lawyer took over 9 months to settle my deceased mother's small estate (86,000). She left the grunt work to her assistant who made several artimatic mistakes when calculating the statement. She was responsible for a delay of over one month while she waited for information from a bank to verify an account. I FINALLY took over that investagiation and found the answer in 5 minutes. The accountant they hired to prepare the tax return forgot to factor in the amount still in RIF account, which boosted the taxes owing, involved another delay to prepare yet a 4th statement (the previous ones were full of math errors), and additional accountant fees and legal fees. Stay away from this lawyer if you don't want to have to check everything she and her incompetent assistant does, and want your settlement to go through smoothly.
