When it came to choosing a family lawyer I was extremely weary. I refused to gamble with my children's lives. After 2 failed lawyers Gloria came Highly recommended by a family friend who worked in the same office as her. Fighting CAS is no easy task and I figured I'd try one last time before I made the decision to represent myself. Upon meeting her at her office for the first time I thought "wow her office looks like a time bomb went off" studying psychology I knew this was a good indication that she was knowledgeable, and persistent. Little did I know how truly amazing she is. 2 lawyers failed to accurately represent me to the courts, but Gloria literally would stop hearings and cut off false accusations making sure my reputation would not be damaged and the process of reuniting my children and I wouldn't take any longer. Gloria succeeded where 2 seasoned lawyers failed. Don't let her age fool you. This women is a god send. I would recommend her to anyone fighting CAS.

I made some really bad decisions about 10 years ago. The parties charging me with fraud were out for blood. There were national size banks involved and they wanted to rake me over the coals. If you are looking for someone who will actually listen to you and treat you like a person instead of a dollar sign, this is your lady! Gloria is sincere, passionate and very knowledgeable. She won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but she will always offer what you need to hear. My separation has become a nightmare and while we’re still in the thick of it, Ms. Ichim is always just a phone call, email or text away. She genuinely cares are has your best interest at heart. Gloria is an incredible lawyer. She helped me through the hardest time of my life and I couldn't have made it through without her support and knowledge. She is passionate about helping her clients and doing what's best for their families. She is confident in and outside the courtroom and I could never imagine having anyone else represent me. She is always honest and upfront and I felt I could trust her as soon as I met her...it's not easy to find those traits in lawyers. Surprised to see this lawyer has a good overall rating. Since taking her off record I’ve had three other lawyers tell me that she doesn’t know what she is doing. I gave her a 3 for knowledge. Maybe she knows the law. I don’t know. She never stopped yelling and swearing - not only about my case but other cases, other lawyers, everything - long enough for me to learn much about her knowledge of the law. And the yelling and swearing was not just in my presence. She yelled in the courtroom and at the judge. Very unprofessional. She was fairly persistent in trying to get me to agree to giving the other party everything she wanted, including thousands of dollars I don’t have and a judge later agreed the other party doesn’t deserve. The quality of her work was...well I know I’m picky (and I take pride in my work), but she couldn’t even be bothered putting a document straight on a scanner before scanning and sending it to me or the other party’s lawyer. Glad she was paid by LA and not by me.

Gloria was amazing! She is extremely intelligent and she always put in extra effort! I wasn't able to meet her at her office a couple of times so she came to me! She sat for hours working on my case, making sure that every detail was covered. She moved quickly and was always very honest about anything that came up. Gloria Ichim, is my family lawyer. I have gone through many issues with my life and Gloria is always there for me and she will drive to St Thomas since I don’t have a car to help me with my case and now I am able to have peaceful mind at table with my children with out fearing and not worrying about What Children Aid society will say.

Why does an attorney verbally inform you that they are waiting for a confirmation of assignment from the F.R.O. via email on September 03 , then in person on September 06 when the item in question was faxed to the firm she is employed at from the aforementioned F.R.O. on Aug 31 / 2016 at 10.38 a.m. ? Why would anyone in Society today turn their back on a child being abused ?

STAY AWAY! I fired this family law lawyer after she failed to follow my instructions and sent settlement offers without my knowledge or consent! I don't know who wrote these positive reviews, but we obviously don't know the same person! I suffered on a legal aid certificate! There are far better lawyers to help you - I finally found one who can!
