Went into a custody trial being told I would get shared custody. Right before court time she (with help from the other lawyer) convinced me that I was going to get nothing and the best thing to do was work out a custody schedule out of court. We never went in front of the judge and instead of 50/50, I ended up with less than the court recommended minimum. Got billed for 3 hours and then she billed me for 2 additional hours a month after the court date. In the end it's my fault for agreeing to the deal, but I expected my lawyer to represent my interests. Instead I'm $1100 more broke and got nothing for the money spent.
