I like that he never did anything or sent anything out without me first reviewing it. He kept saying "it's your life, not mine, so you make the decisions." When we went to the 4-Way, he negotiate hard. He even got up to walk out when my husband was being reasonable. In the end, I made the decision on the deal not him. He advised me, but I kept control.

Seemed great at start: my financial situation was poor, he was affordable & gave me a reduced rate. Am divorced after 3 yrs but mutual property, house, must still be sold. Husband has total control of it,there were no terms for keeping me be informed of sales activity, showings, reducing the price to encourage sale, for having more than one realtor etc. My husband (I don't live there)and is not working to sell the house. Port did not include the division of our joint accounts or accounts lost around $40K my husband lived off all the money I left there (I was the sole wage earner). Almost fainted when new attorney told me I had "lost" this $. At negotiating table I was the one who extracted concessions by shaming the ex into it not Port: in fact, his response was "Wow, you have really strong feelings!" When things dragged on, he simply stopped responding to calls/emails, seemed annoyed when I called. Did not notify me that divorce was finalized found out by accident thru exs lawyer.

I found Mr. Port to be extremely efficient in handling my case which involved a joint custody agreement. I was impressed from the beginning when he said that we had to strike first as opposed to waiting for the other party to make the first move. It proved to be a very strategy and set the tone for negotiations.

I would challenge and invite the post that states Mr. Port writes his "own reviews" to examine this site. As it states in the preamble, the IP addresses are logged on nd unlike thir post, availabiity of speaking online commuicaiton is open. It is prven that the first sign of an arguement lost is when personalization and non fact based attacks are launched. This rating system is not a chat and I hope that the sour grapes poster comes to terms with her or his lack of emotional flexibility and the ramifications therein. In the meanwhile, I will state G. Port and his team are excellent and caring,able to jobs done and able to ascertain the clearest course for people. I have rated G. Port and staff as excellent as my eperience and current involvemnet in a tulmultuous divorce has given me safety, hope, and an outlook for a new and better life for all my family. A good life, a new beginning. Something we pray for and luckily recieved an answer in G. Port Esq.

I have used Gary Port numerous times for many different things. I was injured during a tournament in California. I sued the people for their stupidity and Gary was my lawyer. However, because the event happened to me in California, there were some jurisdiction issues or what not. Gary of course worked hard and i won he took care of everything. I was then in a car accident in nassau county. Which if anyone knows Nassau County sucks. He hired a team to help me ecuase my wrist required four different surgeries. He worked his but off and sure enough as always he came through. Gary Port is one to be counted on and a great person. He works his hardest to get the job done for the client in the best way possible. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a lawyer with ethics, morals, values, and is a hard worker. OHHHHH he is also helping me get a divorce

I was a soldier returning from a 1 year mobilization to Iraq when I was met the challenge of a divorce.My case was being drawn out and financially I was reaching my end.Mr Port humbly took over my case from my former lawyer and incredibly we started making some forward progress.I would venture to say that you shouldn't let his low key fool you.When my wife and her lawyer started to play games, I saw a lawyer who was REMARKABLE at his craft.My life was spinning around and Gary walk in with his then para Samantha and they treated me like somebody.I'd exhausted several lawyers who claimed they were there for you (males imparticularly)but they gave No Support they'd asked for a retainer and you were put on the bottom of the list BUT NOT GARY AND SAMANTHA,they walked and talked me through everything and even gave me a military discount.I went from a lawyer I had to call to make sure she was coming, to a lawyer who often met me at the court house, breifcase in hand and ready.Even when I was

I came upon this site by accident and then decided to just check it out. I looked up my attorney, Mr. Gary Port, just to see if he was on here. I found him. Then, while reading the ratings, I couldn't believe those 2 negative submissions. They look like they might have been written by the same person, but I don't know. What I do know is that Mr. Port, besides being a terrific attorney, is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. His staff is totally professional and accommodating in every way. I've referred 7 or 8 friends to him and every one of them called me to thank me and let me know how happy they are with his representation. And, in fact, have referred people to him from their own circle of friends, relatives, etc. I usually would not write anything to an online website, but seeing those negative reviews just made me do it. I don't know what prompted those reviews, but I'm sure there's more to it than meets the eye. To my experience, Mr. Port is the best!!!

That last poster is wrong. Colonel Port doesn't talk about money, he leaves that to Sam and Mayra. They were very understanding and gave me a reasonable payment plan. They also gave me a military discount! Colonel Port really understands military divorces and benefits.

I used Port and Sava for an automobile accident. I didn't really talk to Gary, only his partner George and his paralegal Mayra. They did a great job. I was very happy with money George got for me.

I checked this site and saw this strange posting claiming that Gary doesn't have a secretary. Must be thinking of a different guy. He has two, Samantha and Mayra. I don't know Mayra too well, but if I was twenty years younger, I'd go after Sam. She's a lively and very pretty girl. She was very helpful and kept on top of all paperwork. Gary's a good guy. He told it to me straight from day one. If my ex had some one like him, our divorce would have been cheaper and faster.

he's low key, but tough. He tried to settle it nice, but when my wife's lawyer started playing games, he was real tough.
