I was hung out to dry by this unscrupulous lawyer. My tremendous loss ~ emotionally and financially ~ turned out to be her gain because she really didn't care about my personal outcome as her client. Trusting her in my most vulnerable state, lead me to my lowest moments. She's in it for HER financial gain and her indifference and lack of conscience, is troubling to say the least. Save yourself and run the other way...

Absolutely the worst decision to use this law firm. They charge more than the deposit which is $10,000. The work they do a proper firm would charge 1/6 of this. highly recommend to not use.

Women ooking to hire Hanniford. Don't waste your money. The only thing she is interested in is her billings. She will lie to you about how much she is going to get for you from your husband. During mediation or just before trial, after she has billed you hundreds of thousands, she will ask for a six-figure retainer for trial, knowing you will not get anywhere near what she has led you to believe (just assume you might end up with 25% of what she's been leading you to believe you might receive from your ex). She is a chihuahua with a loud bark but that's all. Her bullying does not work. If you do hire her, remember these words when she is trying to walk you down from the high expectations she had built up all along and as she tells you the retainer she needs before trial. She has been sued by her own associates that worked for her in the past. Most other lawyers have no respect for her or her methods and as one said, no matter how much she offers me, I would not work her.

Her financial strategies are aimed at her own profit, not yours. She is dishonest and unscrupulous. I came away feeling used and taken advantage of when I was at my lowest and most vulnerable. These things are always clearest in hindsight. Do yourself a favour and find someone else.

Could not advance issues. Wrote passive, plaintive letters to counter party. Obviously intimidated by ex-spouse's lawyer. Bills for herself and a junior lawyer, mixes it up on the invoice and then applies a discount so you have no idea what you are paying for. She billed me for over $60,000 for four months and for that I had a few meetings with her, a meeting with the ex and their lawyer, some letters and forms completed. Check the artwork in the office and ask yourself who is paying for it. She has many other distractions that keep her from advancing your proceedings. I do not recommend Julie Hannaford.

For value I would give her a minus if I could. No value whatsoever. I dropped her and found another lawyer. She wouldn't answer any of my questions but would proceed to send me the bill. Avoid this lawyer at all costs.
