The best thing I liked about Sean was his no nonsense approach, and that is even when I being unreasonable. He is a straight shooter which I really respect. He listens to your opinions and ideas, but is not afraid to let you know when you are being unreasonable or unrealistic. He is very knowledgeable and I know he cares about me as a client. He doesn’t drag things out to drive up costs. When he says he is going to do something, it gets done. I switched to him half way through my divorce after opposing continually used stall tactics to create Status Quo with my children, and refused to move on any issues. Within the same amount of time with Sean, I was divorced and had more time with my son. He was level headed, but very intelligent and methodical throughout my Med/Arb. Very prepared and frankly his arguments to my ex and opposing left them baffled, and I ultimately got everything he said I would get from the onset. He is very down to Earth, and I would highly recommend him & his firm

Sean and Tanya get things done!!
Sean is straightforward and honest while being incredibly respectful, Tanya is so helpful and efficient. From the moment I began working with them I trusted them completely. I never felt pressured, and they were always there to answer my questions. Navigating through a challenging situation, it saved me so much stress always knowing what was going on and getting straightforward, honest answers when I needed them.
I can't recommend them enough!!!

Sean represented me in my 7 year very difficult divorce. He was diligent, honest as to my expectations, kind & compassionate. Not knowing divorce law he patiently explained any questions I had and made sure I had a clear understanding of the outcome. He was relentless with 5 different opposing council as to stall tactics and unreasonable demands on their part. He fought every step of the way with me. He was totally prepared for my 5 day trial and got me a settlement that far exceeded my expectations. He earned every penny he received for digging in and dealing with a very difficult situation. I consider Sean a friend, a very competent lawyer and would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Worst "lawyer" in the city, i did all the leg work and he just signed papers and argued with me non stop. Anything my ex wife said he agreed with 100% and argued for. When it came time to discuss a settlement Sean started so high that it turned into a disaster. I ended up paying 60k above the federal guidelines. I can't afford to even visit my children now out of province thanks to Sean's incompetence. I think he had the hots for my wife s lawyer as he always told her everything we spoke about breaking attorney client rights of confidentialty . He was too lazy to even walk down the courthouse steps with me showing how lazy he is. Id run far away from this so called "lawyer". Hes grossly incompetent and should be working at a macdonalds. You know how you always fear getting the professional who graduated with a D average, That's Sean!

Complete waste of time. Made promises that he never kept and seemed to completely lose interest in the file (although not in spending all of my retainer with no results). Stay away. Far far away. Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with

Sean was great in the courtroom and during mediation. If you even get there. He would eat up the retainer then threaten to not come to court till you paid the new bill. Then he would adjourn the date without your approval. Paperwork would be sent to him that he asked for then claim he never got it. A lot of gaslighting took place with him, saying one thing in the beginning then later on telling you he never said that. Unecessary mind games. I didn't feel like he was on my side. His assistant is snappy and very rude. He financially bled me dry and our case is still ongoing. I would not recommend Sean.

I would highly recommend Sean. He was easy going, professional, and lazer guided as far as his job is concerned. He has always treated me with respect, and done everything he could to get me what I wanted and needed as efficiently and cheaply as possible. I've dealt with lawyers before that made me feel stupid and taken advantage of as I am not very knowledgeable as far as our legal system is concerned. This was not the case with Sean. Hands down the best Family Law Lawyer in Alberta!

The worst Lawyer I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Very egotistical. Easily distracted by drama between parties and gets swallowed up in arguing over what doesn’t matter! Don’t waste your money! Or if you have lots of it and want a drug out custody battle full of drama and arguing - didn’t even come to an agreement at MEDIATION - then choose Sean!

Sean did a great job in a tough situation. I appreciated how he kept my costs low, despite a very complicated, tricky and antagonistic situation. He was honest, fair and willing to tell me what I didn't want to hear. I am very grateful that I had him as my counsel.

Laid back and competent. I had no issues with Sean for my custody dispute. He has kids himself and could relate to what I was going through.

Waist of time and money. Would never recommend anyone to deal with Sean. Time was dragged, and bare minumum was done. Probably same progress woudld have been achieved if done all by myself.

I worked with him for awhile before I found another higher rated lawyer from this website. He was difficult to deal with, he seemed too concerned with doing things his way. Also seemed to get drawn into dramatic email/phone fights too easily.

The most recent review was clearly written by Sean or his office. Just look and the language used - it's a lawyer typing this as they just cant break out of that style of writing. Sad attempt to fix a clear trend by a lawyer with a bad attitude.....
