Honest unbiased client review.... Rick Ramos is a really smart, aggressive attorney. He knows case law and applies it to your case. He's not going to sugar coat words for you. He's going to tell you what to do and you NEED TO DO IT. He's not so great at returning calls/emails. Sometimes he won't respond for a week or not at all. I often thought he wasn't working on my case because of the lack of communication but was later proven wrong in court. His staff is ok, not the greatest. He is incredibly expensive but worth it. He saved my case when three other "super lawyers" told me there was no hope. If you can afford him, then he is definitely one of the top 5 family lawyers in Houston. The bill rate is $400-450 per hour and one week trial retainer was $30k. Cost everything I have, but I kept my kiddo against all odds.
