Extremely incompetent, racist, verbally abusive, obnoxious, ignorant of the law. BULLIES at every turn. Richard only focus is money and screwing his client. Rants endlessly. Acts like a psychotic. Overcharges with no results. This guy should be disbarred as he ignores requests for resolution with other lawyer and only wants what is good for him and not his client. All reviews saying is bad lawyer are completely accurate. Treats his only assistant with complete disrespect that it makes you sick to your stomach. This guy is total narcassist.

This lawyer stands up for landlords who are having terrible problems with really bad tenants. Not all landlords are rich and tenants who damage, don't pay rent, disrespect the property, hording and creating a filthy mess for landlords to clean and fix, destroy landscaping, smoke and vape even after signing a form that this would not be happening, sneak in extra friends to live in the residence without asking permission, etc. If you had or are a good tenant there is never a reason for a landlord to have to call this lawyer. A few bad apples keeps this lawyer very busy. We are cleaning up after two bad tenants we gave reasonable rent to. We have over 10 thousand dollars in repairs to do and we are now going to charge going rates for rent. As far as I am concerned this lawyer is a life saver for me!!

- No Google My Business, so not able to review, unlike other reputable legal firms in Calgary. -doesn't respond to phone calls, impossible to find contact info. - curt, dismissive, and unwilling to compromise. - waste of money and time. - The Sage Hill Villian

Once my lawyer, now regret using him. I find him rude ignorant, he doesn’t respond to emails. In my opinion from my experience with him I believe he is an extremely dishonest individual. I see him as a racist, my advice is stay away. Richard if you disagree feel frets take action against me… Oh I forgot the truth must hurt.

Richard John - Bridgeland Law. The snake of all snakes. There is no professionalism with this clown. Charging ridiculous fees and manipulating payments out of people and instead of serving them with registered letters, he apparently 'tapes letters to peoples doors', what kind of scam artist low grade lawyer is this? This man is the epitome of classless lawyers who try to abuse their power to get what they want - narcissistic much? There is a right, and a wrong, way to deal with people no matter the circumstances. Clearly his parents didn't teach him much about being an honest, good, person. If he needs to screw people who are hurting financially to obtain his objective, well - that's on him. Maybe he needs the money more than those who are struggling....

A pretentious person that is so arrogant and rude it is unbelievable. Before our meeting even started when asked about a point of order he wouldn't answer, then threatened to call the police during the meeting if we didn't listen to him. It was good we were prepared and were able to pop his bubble. Voted so he couldn't chair meeting. Thankfully we had a strong enough group to do so. Be prepared if you deal with this person!

Richard John is the rudest, most ignorant person I have ever encountered. He represented the builder of at the AGM/Condo turnover meeting and was so condescending, it was disgusting. I would not recommend his services to my worst enemy. Good luck with this guy.

super rode unwilling to talk and complete disappointment. not sure how he has obtained his licence and his communication skills and close to none and his has no respect for individuals his dealing wit. his more of a scam artiest then a lawyer. would not recommendation him to any one.

Never use this lawyer! I owed $400.00 in association fees and the Springside Residents Association retained him to collect their outstanding fees. He charged me over $2,500 in legal fees which is outrageous. In fact, he charged me for services which were never rendered which included preparation and execution of Affidavit of Service. I was never served with any documentation. I will be filing a complaint with Law Society of Alberta.

I would not use his services ever again! He was arrogant and smug at the town hall we had him speak at. He laughed when making that comment that he forecloses on people’s homes every day and is good at it. When people are concerned about receiving a $100, 000 special assessment, having a lawyer stand on stage and laugh saying if people can’t pay, guys like him foreclose on their property is so insensitive. This was during the downturn in Calgary when so many were already out of working and struggling and many of the residents were 65+ and do not have the means to come up with that money or seek financing. He had zero compassion when he was hired to come explain the process and instead left people feeling completely helpless and screwed over. He also sent in invoices for fees we never retained him for and then threatened to take action against us for not paying.

In my opinion Mr. John: Failed to grasp essential priorities of case and client needs. Failed to properly communicate options and consequences to client, thereby not enabling client to make informed decisions and to not be able to provide proper counsellor instruction. Appeared to be too busy to properly handle case and become fully informed. Failed to show at scheduling court proceeding. After case went "sideways" followed inappropriate protocol to discontinue representation in accordance with requirements of Alberta Law Society Standards of Professional Conduct.
