My name is Frank and I have a daughter named Taiya. MCFD became invovled in my parenting, and over time eventually folded their tent and closed my file. However, my file was open an exorbitant length of time. During the time of MCFD's involvement, Jennifer Barrett did nothing to support my child or my family or the relationships within my family. She did nothing positive to bring reunion. Jennifer Barrett was MCFD's "Puppet", saying whatever they asked and writing letters with whatever content MCFD wanted - as if because she put something in writing it legitimized it. Jennifer Barrett wrote what she was paid to write. Jennifer Barrett liked to draw out matters, but not for the benefit of the child or families, but for her billable hours. I do not know how she was ever appointed a Judge. At the time, she must have been the lesser of all the other evils, or the only candidate. With the appointment of Jennifer Barrett as a Judge, the integrity of the Courts has lessened.

Jennifer Barrett made her money doing MCFD's bidding on Lower Vancouver Island. She helped MCFD "Abduct" my children when an apprehension was unwarranted! On her caseload, she did nothing positive towards family reunification, she drew out her paycheck. Jennifer Barrett didn't care about the kids, the families or the relationships she was helping harm - only her on going fees. I'm sure there was no one better to select from, when she was appointed a Judge

I will second the review that she is now a completely corrupt judge. If you are a man walking into her court room, you might as well save everyone the time and just empty your wallet. This judge will only side with the female in the situation.

Struggles with simple competence. Has no sense of how her work for MCFD and her posturing for them (which isn't factually always best for the kids), impacts families.
