DO NOT hire Joey! I wish I would have really paid attention to the bad reviews. He is unethical. He is a liar, and he will cheat you out of your time and money. He talks a good game, but once he has your money, the story changes. He doesn't do his job but feels like he is entitled to keep your money! Even with an arbitration order telling him to return your money, he will find a way to weasel out of it. He does what he wants,when when he wants,but his 90 days are over!! Please do your research on him. Start by going to the Chatham County Court site.
You think you can wrong people and get away with it, but you are sadly mistaken. I'm taking you back to court and the next time I have to leave a review, I am going to post all court documents.

Do not, I repeat, do not hire this attorney. I was unfortunate enough to get into some serious legal trouble over a year ago, hired this man and will regret it for the rest of my life. We paid him over 9k in total and received nothing but mediocre legal advice, subpar representation, and a COMPLETE lack of any professional respect for me as a client. He put forth absolutely no effort to help resolve my case in a timely manner, ignored my repeated requests for a bond hearing and in fact urged me to take a plea deal of 90 days in a probation detention camp in addition to pleading guilty to a felony regardless of the facts of the case. He never requested the discovery from the DA and that was after 8 months of these charges pending against me. Had he requested the discovery he would have known the state’s case against me was completely circumstantial and lacking ANY hard evidence whatsoever. We feel like we gave our money to him and he was gone. Getting a call back or text message was hard. Felt like our case was not important enough. He is always busy. Told us one thing and did another. Was always told we have to wait on board. Nothing he could do to speed it up. Felt like we helped he get more clients and he just did not have time for us. Boyfriend was told he would be out by FEB. It is now Aug. he is still locked up. We asked to get him moved closer to home if he could not get him out, that never happened either. He is still 4 1/2 hours from home.

don't use them. they know nothing. there are much better and ones out there. it's waste of money.
