A lawyer shouldn’t charge $500 for you to see if they’re right for you and your case. Her assistant charged me before an “initial meeting” where in 10 minutes, she basically said my case was without merit. My ex and I ended up settling, with me using another lawyer, who used my “valid case” to my advantage. I wish I had my time (and money back). I feel ripped off by Kim, and I got good value from the lawyer I ended up working with. I shouldn’t have wasted $500 on 10 minutes to be lectured about what I did wrong.

Kim was a great help through a difficult divorce. She was there professionally and emotionally. I would highly recommend her.

Was so glad to have Kim represent me. She is very experienced. As a busy professional, I could fully rely on her advice and guidance. She was able to make a highly complex (family and business) situation manageable. Always kept childrens interests front and centre. Yes she is expensive but worth every penny. Have recommended her to several of my professional colleagues who hold her in equally high esteem.

Kim Johnson represented my brother and she's solely responsible for ruining his relationship with his kids. I sat in on the proceedings and she bent the rules, would say anything to win, was spiteful towards the other party and unprofessional many times. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Amazing, expensive but you get what you pay for. Have used Kim twice now and worth every penny. Best divorce and family law I could have asked for. Not sure about negative comments, for me she was an excellent lawyer.

Kim is a very knowledgeable lawyer. She provides honest and straight forward advice and is quick on her feet. Manages complex issues in a clear, concise and confident manner. Have referred several friends and professional colleagues to her; she is definitely one of the best family law lawyers in the province.

THIS ATTORNEY IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE AND FAILS TO MEET COURT DEADLINES; DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS; SCREWED UP A SIMPLE DIVORCE. NOT PROFESSIONAL. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER FOR ANYTHING.

I agree with the three other glowing references here! Kim was an absolute treat to deal with, and treated I and the others involved with respect and civility. I'd recommend Kim in a heartbeat!

Kim was always professional and her advice was worth every cent. Most times the man ends up on the end of the rope. Well Kim did her job and contrary to other ratings she was very fair even when my ex didn't have representation. She told me ethically and morally we had to come to a resolution despite my ex ruining the relationship between parent and child. Even when my ex was stalling she followed protocol and when I was very frustrated she calmed me down and took care of business. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate and even when you as a client are being unrealistic she can bring you back to reality if you listen so it doesn't cost you a fortune in the end. She is on my opinion one of the best in her field.

I find it hard to believe that the previous posting is true. When Kim represented me she was always professional, and always encouraged me to take "the high road", even when it was hard to do. In the end, I was successful because of her advice, with the judge commenting positively on how I kept the kids out of the middle, when my ex did not. She's not inexpensive, but her insight and experience were worth it!
