This lawyer runs a very peculiar practice. He operates from Israel, and behind the scenes, controls the work of drone type lawyers in Toronto, who are in thrall to this egomaniac/narcissist who insists he be known as “Mr. Colman,” even among his senior staff. I would caution any client who doesn’t want to throw $30,000 away that this practice specializes in the extraction of gratuitous fees, rather than the achievement of results for clients. It’s also important that people realize the low character and poor ethics of the principal concerned, his self-calculation and self-promotion are what drive him. He is intolerant of client feedback and any client questions or concerns are routinely dismissed as hostile criticism about which he is completely intolerant. This practice specializes in gullible clients who don’t know any better, and in clients who have no self-esteem and wish to be told what to do by a manipulative controller, interested almost exclusively in commercial cream skimming.

Worst lawyer ever. He pays to have his negative reviews removed. He’s just incompetent and barely steps foot in a court room. Men go elsewhere. He is a not a good lawyer.

The wisdom, experience and competence of Mr. Colman and team turned things around. I was able to defend my position and got better access arrangement than I previously used to have. Mr. Colman strategies also helped me save unnecessary legal expenses to delegate to his staff as appropriate.

Gene is unbelievably great at details patience and attention. He was recommended after my lawyer in Barrie billed me for 2 years of nothing!! What a great change. I highly recommend Gene Colman and Kulbir.
It's been a long journey; years of frustration, setbacks, and sleepless nights. Working with Gene has felt like a breath of fresh air. The way Gene and his team handled things took a lot of skill, knowledge, and professionalism.
Kulbir has been excellent. She has been compassionate, assertive, and professional throughout. My 'day in court' was difficult, and her knowledge were called into question by both opposing counsel and a hostile judge. Kulbir handled the situation with class and was assertive when required. I could not be more pleased with how she handled herself and represented me.
Gene was generous enough to offer a discount in the event we had to appeal the judge's (illegal) actions, and I'm glad it turned out to be unnecessary, but that compassion gave me the courage to keep fighting.

I sought a legal consult from Mr. Colman and while sadly his caseload was too heavy for him to take on my case, the information he gave me in my consult, after which I left with a hefty package of resources, enabled me to start representing myself effectively and win my case. I respect and admire this legal team greatly and if you are dealing with a parental alienator in particular, Gene is the lawyer you want to have in your corner. He is committed to the kids and getting the healthiest outcome for them. After all, the alienator is destroying both their co-parent and their own kids. His fees are high but in the end I felt I received the value of what I paid. He also helped me understand more what was going on and how to deal with dishonesty in the child welfare system. I got my kids 100% of the time then started to rebuild their relationship with their other parent slowly under tightly controlled visitation terms. After 3 years, things are 1000% better. Complex Family Law is the key here. My case was extremely complicated with many variables and he expertly cut through the clutter and targeted the salient points and GROUND down the my opposition. In the legal process there is significant amount of time required to create the necessary documentation but this is the court system as it exists. You ARE your documentation. Court is about proof and preparation. If you go to court with Mr Colman he will destroy his esteemed opposition simply because of these facts. If you are not willing to assist in the process yes you will incur costs for his office to do it, yes he he may get frustrated with you because you aren't taking it seriously. Simply put, you get what you pay for. Court is hell. If you aren't prepared, you go at your own risk. Mr Colman knows what is required in the court system. It's not a TV show.
