Spend hours of mediation with this lawyer with zero outcome. His ability to confront either party, and be assertive to drive a solution is non existent. He never produces a report either. He spend most of his time on procedural matter. Don't waist your time or money. His cheap, but zero value

Lawyer Michel Kushnir, I’m not sure how to describe how terrible this court/ social service appointed lawyer is, it’s been over a year and no draft, when they make appointments make sure the appointment is real not just an incompetent office clerk other wise you will waste a day and downtown parking fee, he does not reply to calls or emails this is just all around terrible office and lawyer to deal with but if you are trying to extend your pain then this is the perfect lawyer / mediator to deal with.

In my case Mr Kushnir's services were used for court appointed mediation. As a mediator I thought he was great at keeping my ex and I on track and he was knowledgeable. The result of mediation however, was absolutely terrible. And this was largely due to her unwillingness to bend on anything put forward - so really when you are trying to reason with a stubborn individual would you expect any less? She had everything she wanted anyway so why agree to anything else? My sons are the only ones to really suffer in the end. Anyway, it was a complete waste of time and money. I knew it would be going in, but to appease the master of the court. check! :( Sigh

No work done. Talks a lot and sounds quite efficient. Does not do a thing. Wasted time!I was supposed to get a divorce agreement draft four months ago. Multiple appointments were scheduled and canceled by him.

Extremely negative experience with this lawyer. Likes to spend client's time and money explaining process. No results. Extreme waste of time, money and energy trying to deal with him. Impossible to reach, does not respond to emails, phone calls or messages. Deadlines come and go without response from him. Dangerous to rely on this lawyer. Documents and Motions completed but never filed in Court. Thousands of dollars spent, results: nil. Back to square one. Has no secretarial help. Types all documents himself and charges top dollar for typing. Not recommended. Find someone else. Very busy with mediation and is not interested in effectively representing a client.

Overpriced and incompetent. Essentially went behind back for starters without consultation. Showed zero tenacity in courtroom Does not have a fighter disposition. Likes to speak to process and nothing else. Followup is tardy and incomplete. Will not respond to email communication. Talks a good game but when onstage disappears. Pleasant and polite however found did not represent my interests with vigor and tenacity.

We went (my friend I)for my friend's divorce to this lawyer a little while ago. He was charming and appeared to be proactive. Then we didn't hear from him and finally after many attempts, were told nothing would happen until they received a retainer. We sent him a cheque for an amount we thought would last a while. Things looked like they were beginning to proceed but didn't get too far. We received a draft document with a lot of errors in it (typographical and inaccuracies about birth dates and separation dates) which shouldn't have been there since my friend gave him very accurate information along with copies and originals of documents. We corrected the information and sent it back. We received an invoice that included modification of the document and soon afterwards received another invoice showing our retainer was almost used up and nothing had happened yet. We couldn't reach him for a while and were told he was at his other office in Ottawa. Very frustrating!
