Expect your case to be delayed or put aside if you do not do as they say. That's their passive-aggressive modus operandi when you do not submit to what is most cost/time efficient for them. Greed is clearly their drive and not so much your well being. I suspect they do financially better by carrying a significant client volume so you may be pressured and intimidated about the consequences of going to trial. Someone wrote that he/she had been told their expectations were "pie on the sky"...I was asked if "I was thinking I had won the lottery". Beware people you are just another "meal"

Very friendly staff answered all my concerns and made me feel at ease with the whole process. They showed that they cared. Always answered emails promptly and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. I was happy with the settlement; it was more than I thought I would get. Your service needs no improving. David and staff are a godsend. Relieved a lot of my anxiety in handling my case. Strongly recommend to everyone.

A very pleasant experience in a very stressful and unfortunate situation. The staff were very helpful from my initial consultation, until the final mediation meeting. I honestly don’t think you could (improve your service). Exceptional customer service from beginning to end.
Initially, Share Lawyers told me not to worry, that they would do the worrying for me. That lifted a very heavy weight from my shoulders. I would not hesitate to use Share Lawyers again or to recommend them to anyone.

I found that when I first met with Mr. Share, he made all types of statements which, in the end, his firm was unable to deliver on. Once retained, I never heard from Mr. Share again. Throughout the years, they kept convincing me to settle for less and less. In the end, I was given little choice but to settle for pennies on the dollar. When given their statement of fees, there were several questionable charges relating to the fees they deducted from the small amount I settled for. On a positive note, some of the individual lawyers I worked with were very dedicated and professional.

This law firm is terrible - the mediation took place more than a year after the Statement of Claim and the settlement was no where near what was written in the Statement of Claim (only a fraction). The mediation was delayed by the insurance company - two weeks before the originally scheduled date. The actual mediation was one of the worst experiences of my life - my lawyer was NOT supportive at all (saying that we would lose if we went to trial) and seemed to be more friendly and working with the insurance company.

When I first spoke to David Share I was a mess. I was burnt out and my employer had turned its back on me. I applied for short term disability, but was refused, even with the letter from my doctor.
I contacted some lawyers who weren’t interested in taking my case. Then by some miracle, while my husband was waiting to see his specialist, he saw a pamphlet about Share Lawyers. After being refused help from other lawyers, here was one who would take on my case on the basis of No Fees Unless They Win.
As soon as I got home, I filled out the online form, and received a reply by phone. They had a sympathetic voice, and were also very compassionate. I followed the instructions and sent all my documents for review. That in itself was a load off my shoulders. Then I had a telephone consultation with David Share and he took on my case, which settled several months later!
Share Lawyers and all the staff are wonderful blessings to those who are refused benefits from their employers.

I was forced to go off work when I had a severe anxiety attack. My long term disability benefits were denied. Another lawyer recommended that I call David Share at Share Lawyers. Share Lawyers handled my case with patience. They have so much experience, I know each case they have is handled expertly. I trusted Share Lawyers with my case, and I am happy with the results. Now that I have received my settlement, I am able to focus on moving forward. I made an application for long term disability benefits under my private disability policy which was ultimately denied. I felt that everything I had worked so hard to establish in my career was on the verge of being lost. I called Share Lawyers. They told me there would be no charge for their services unless we were successful. David Share made a huge difference for me. He sued for all benefits owing and future benefits. In order to establish entitlement to benefits, extensive medical records and further assessments had to be carried out. Eventually we all attended at a mediation to see if a settlement could be worked out. When I attended at mediation, a lump-sum settlement was negotiated in my favour. I was very happy with my experience with Share Lawyers and specifically with David Share. My peace of mind and ability to move forward was only possible with the help of David Share.

David Share is not a good lawyer. He brushes you off to his other staff once any sort of settlement is reached. He doesn't explain anything to you and gets his incompetent staff to call you back when you specifically ask to speak with YOUR LAWYER!! In the end he has his money and you are still left to deal with the bullsh*t caused by there incompetence to follow something through or insure your best interests are looked out for in the fine print. You are a disability lawyer your clients are disabled - have you no heart! Watch yourself before you get this one. He cares about his bottom line only and doesn't give a sh*t about you. Also Ontario has the worst disability laws I've ever heard of. What kind of first world country doesn't protect their disabled but looks out for the big guy - the insurance companies. Disgusting. Canada/Ontario should be ashamed.

Absolutely terrible.Completely unethical.This firm gives clients false hope.They put unrealistic, inflated numbers in the Statement of Claim,& then the day you are in Mediation,(which you are forced to participate in because they don't want to go to trial),they tell you that it is just a 'pie-in-the-sky number' and they do that on all claims, and the most you will likely walk away with 1/10th of the original claim- minus their fees of course.Unbelievable.Even when Mediation is unsuccessful,they still charge you thousands of dollars-and they haven't done anything!If you hire another lawyer,they charge THAT law firm for all of YOUR documents,and in the end, when/if you get a settlement,they STILL get paid, for having done NOTHING.I can't believe that the Upper Canada Law Society doesn't do something about law firms that conduct business in this way.Buyer beware!Do your homework.If you use a lawyer for Disability claims, chances are you aren't going to get nearly what you are owed.Sorry

Thank you Share Lawyers for being there for me. I was constantly being harassed by the representative from the insurance company. I felt as though I was being suffocated and wished that I was able to breathe. My relief came when I made the first telephone call to Share Lawyers and was given an appointment to come in for an interview. I met with Janice Grevler, she made me felt so much at ease, and for the first time after dealing with the insurance company, I felt that I could breathe again. I was communicated with on a regular basis to keep up with my current situation. I never felt any more stress. My second meeting was with Alison Gilmore who was very professional, and made me feel very relaxed and confident; she negotiated my settlement with the insurance Company which resulted in a happy ending for me.

I could have done better! I could have had my own benefits reinstated. I went to a lawyer to get my benefits reinstated or at least get what I was entitled to. My benefits were from a private disability company provided by my employer of many, many years. Settlement did come after more than a year! but there are few legal words to describe the despair and disappointment I was left with. If I could attach the paperwork literally fed to me by date it would show a pathetic story of hope consistently destroyed, and when hope is all you have it's simply unacceptable and a lawyer should be made accountable. Far too many unanswered questions. Also, anyone who goes down this road, please contact every contact that information will be requested and charged for and tell them that you are ultimately paying their bill out of your pocket, not the lawyer. $3,000 for a report is theft!... and right out of your pocket. Horrible lawyer and legal firm.
