Seema appears to have a very professional demeanour, is polite and appears knowledgable. I was was referred to her firm and then met with her. She was retained and I agreed for her to assist in a counter claim and a settlement. I paid her firm in the range of $110,000 to $140,000+ all together. A court date was set and she did not continue to work towards a settlement. She advised me that I should be successful in court and that closer to the court date that she would gather my documents and interview my witnesses. To my surprise 3 months before trial she went on maternity leave. A new very junior lawyer took over my case and Seema left the new junior lawyer to gather documents and interview witnesses. Seema did not forward all of the docs that she had to the new lawyer. Nor explain the defence and counter claim that I had spent hours explaining to Seema. The new lawyer was not prepared.
