She takes the money and sends students to do the work. She is pricey and not a good value for money. she doesnt call clients back. She doesnt represent you or consult with you. She dropped my case about 3 weeks before me court date and left me hanging to find another attorney. She wanted a 50K retainer to continue into court.... what does that say about her????

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM FOR FAMILY LAW OR DIVORCE! No communication, my file has been passed off to 4 different students now! I’ve been double,even triple billed for such! I have done most of the work myself, no call backs, not even when you’re about to head to court AND SHE SENT A STUDENT to court! i understand students are learning but what I’ve dealt with for 1.5 years is embarrassing to have as my counsel! Now I will have to go seek a REAL FIRM that can actually help and provide legal advice and LISTEN to what needs to be done! So very pissed off right now!

Horrible lawyer. Ms. Kanji wasted my time by keeping me in a status quo situation and wasted my money by over charging me with unnecessary expenses like bus tickets (which Legal Aid reversed). It took her about 4 months to get a Lis Pendens in place. My child support was decreased because the order was never discussed in court. I would email her with my concerns and never once did she reply to any of them. She also never called me, or take the time in taking my calls to her either. Seriously, Kanji was my lawyer for about a year and I never once talked to her on the phone during the entire time.
She was extremely unprofessional, rude and lazy.

The meeting schedule of Ms. Kanji is quite flexible. Being a working lady it was hard for me to meet her in the working hours. Yet, due to specific appointments on weekends, I have been able to have it.

I worked with the Kanji Law Office for my business incorporation. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the firm. It was really warm and Pareza Kanji was very friendly. I did not have any understanding of the law but the warm associates here helped me understand the law so that I could manage my company.

Pareza is easy to talk to. She has realistic attitude and gave practical advice. She likes to speaks her mind and stays focussed on big picture. She does not suffer fools well. Down town office location is helpful. Works hard for you.

Pareza Kanjji recently handled legal proceedings of a "very dirty" divorce "battle" for my friend. She was very professional and at the same time very respectful and encouraging. She explained from the first meeting what the best outcome would be and what my friend needed to do on her end to reach that goal. Pareza took a proactive approach to the situation by having her complete several things up front that she knew the judge would more than likely require. She always called back in a day or two to answer questions and kept us informed on the negotiations with the other party. In the end she was able to get my friend favourable deal, which was very important to my friend's future well being. This was our first time being in a position requiring legal assistance, and she was very good at walking us through the steps in order to get the case resolved with the best possible outcome. I would recommend Ms. Pareza Kanji to anyone needing family law legal help in the future.

Hardworking lady and I like her new assistant. She's on time, responds to my phone calls, and is sympathetic (unless you are being unreasonable). I would definitely recommend her for family law cases!

Terrible lawyer. Only cares about the money. Takes forever to answer your questions, if at all. Goes through assistants like mad. Does not like to meet with her clients or talk with them personally. Everything is relayed through the assistant.

Terrible lawyer. Period. I will be self representing from now on. I agree she isn't very knowledgeable late for court doesn't care your position, and is about lining her pockets. I was appointed her through legal aide. Avoid this lawyer at all costs!!

I hired this lawyer last September. In one month she charged me thousands of dollars, PLUS she quit 1 hr before court. I have even submitted a complaint against her with The Law Society about her unethical behavior and I also was able to have her account reviewed by the courts. I was able to get some money back and the lawyer conducting the review wished I could have received more. Even the lawyer conducting the review was unimpressed by what Pareza Kanji did to me. Pareza Kanji is a horrible lawyer, she will talk trash about you to the other lawyer, she rips off the vulnerable by offering payment plans, but she will do nothing for you. She is only about filling her pockets than about her clients best interest. Beware of this lawyer and stay away from her. If you had a bad experience with her, I suggest reporting it to the Law Society of Alberta as well. They were not fond of her behavior either.
