I had one of her associates handle my divorce recently. Several times I called asking for things like having a temporary custody order filed which never happened, and I asked about what evidence he would like me to bring to him which I never heard back about (with the exception of my tax return and pay stubs). I didn't meet with him before my trial until the Friday before and that was for only 30 minutes. I don't feel like he was adequately prepared for my trial, and it resulted in a very unfavorable decision for me. There was a lot of evidence I dropped off with him that never saw light in the courtroom (and no feedback about what additional evidence he might want/need). I don't think he took my case seriously enough, granted attorney's are busy and I'm not his only case. He admitted he didn't start to work on my case until the weekend before trial. Is it any wonder it did not go well? In my opinion I had a very strong case. A new attorney will be handling my rehearing or appeal.
