Michael assisted us in a very urgent and stressful situation. He was very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the whole process, and was responsive to all of our concerns. Knowing that he was acting on our behalf, helped to ease our stress, and he was able to resolve the situation successfully. I would highly recommend him.

I would highly recommend Michael Scherr as a lawyer. He recently helped me with a defamation claim with my business and he was able to resolve it quickly and completely. He kept me involved in every step of the way.

Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to say about this lawyer. In my opinion, he was aggressive and sexist in the way he dealt with me. He repeatedly advised me to pay several thousand $$ and apologize to the other party in order to make what I viewed to be a frivolous and spiteful lawsuit "go away". When I put significant evidence and research before him that I believed I had a strong counter claim, he inferred that as a layperson, I couldn't possibly know something he didn't. When I didn't take his advice, he told me that he was firing me as his client and that I should hire a new lawyer, with seemingly no concern for the stress, cost, or potential harm this would cause me. This was distressing, particularly because he had already done work on the file, and he was aware that I am quite low income. I'm glad I did not listen to this man because in the end, the other party did not file their trial documents so essentially,I was right. Not worth $400+/hour in my view.

I have nothing but praise for the way that Michael handled my employment claim. He was extremely knowledgeable and approachable and was able to clearly explain the key issues and his recommendations to resolve my complaint. He also raised other important points that I had not thought about. Finally, he dealt with my complaint immediately and was able to get a favourable resolution to my situation within 24 hours. He even phoned me at home at 5p.m. Friday to let me know the outcome, as he didn't want me to have to worry about it all weekend. Great knowledge, great service and great outcome. Also a very pleasant man to work with. Would definitely use Michael again and recommend him to others.
