I agree also with the rating.Richard is incompetent, dishonest mostly, and failed very badly.Also will use dubious means for collecting bills.Puts clients under pressure to sign,so beware.This lawyer knows tricks of how to get the money as motivated mostly by money not quality of work or other main values. Has anger issues.Does incomplete work and has incompetent staff too.Tells stories about other clients not paying and how they went to barristers society to complain about him.Fixed in view,is not quick, and lacks the negotiating and skills other lawyers would have.

I agree with many of the other ratings here that this man is an incompetent con man. Filed improper copies. Missing filing deadlines. Overcharging.

Not sure where these bad reviews come from, Richard has been assisting with my affairs for many years now. From Divorce to real estate to assisting with affairs surrounding a family member passing. Richard and his staff have always been attentive to my needs and nothing but courteous. I may not have lots of money and my affairs not as significant as others but Richard has always made me feel like my matters were as important as any other, even though I'm sure they weren't. Keep up the good work Richard, you can't please everyone... D.P

Be forewarned, spare yourself the aggravation. I see some good reviews and I would be willing to wager that he is submitting them himself because the man just lacks the skills necessary to give you proper representation. I give him a 2 for communication because he likes that because he can charge you even more. Look, if you don't believe me then ask around, ask other attorneys who are older and if they know him then they will openly tell you that he's just not trustworthy or capable and that speaks volumes given how they have their code of not criticizing one another. I asked around after the fact and asked 3 attorneys and they all said the same thing....a swindler who is in over his head, mistake prone and only cares about billing clients.

Great lawyer. Great service. he was our last hope. 3 other lawyers tried to get my sister to comply wit the will. He got it done in less than 3 months and the cost was less than the estimate. Thank you.

He is either lazy, dragging issues out for his own financial gain, or incompetent. Or all three. Richard Bureau is smug in the office, and overwhelmed in the courtroom. People are likely too invested in him to dump him, but I would given the chance.

Mr Bureau looked after my mother's estate and did a wonderful job. My brother was very difficult and Mr. Bureau handled him really good. I then had him prepare my will and power of attorney. He was great

This meathead should be avoided at all costs. He is a scammer and has no knowledge. He cancelled my meeting and then I saw his fat head driving around in a BMW convertible with the top down and it was single digit weather...license plate NS LAW...pretending he was somebody. You know he has Donald Trump sized hands and you know what that means.

In 2002 after a 2.5 year trial for a crime that never existed we were sentenced to spend time in jail and Richard never filed for an immediate appeal or a bail bond. He allowed us to be removed from the court room and hauled off like criminals instead of taking care of us. In 2009 7 yeas later he manipulated the legal system to renew a stale judgment against us that he created to steal a property, put it on the chopping block and proceeded to sell it twice in one day. We were never notified of any of it until it was too late and we discovered on visitinng our property that the locks had been changed and there were new owners. I gave him 5 for tenacity when it comes to personal gain.

Ignored my concerns throughout...brought in an accusation which I never presented as a client. Gave me an estimate and then tried to chargeme double
