Hal Garfinkel is the poster child for bad lawyers. He is unethical in his billing practices as he overbills for time spent on a case. Should be investigated by the state Board.

This guy showed up 2 hours late, only after I called him 10 times, he probably wasn't going to even show up to my case. I asked on 3 different occasions for a receipt I never received probably because he is a shady character. My ticket was a simple obstruction of traffic, he told me one price on the phone and I paid him up front $500 after showing up to court 2 hours late the guy then asks for $1500 more dollars, the state attorney had already amended the ticket so it would not appear on my record, and guy doesn't even tell me when my next court date is unless i continue to keep him as a lawyer. I got another attorney and the case was settled for $300 plus fines and court fees. I do not recommend this guy for anyone. He speaks loudly so everyone can hear your business, and twitches uncontrollably. I will also be reporting to the bar as the rest of the people have.
