Outstanding lawyer and human being. I can never forget the help he gave me during a family law matter. Its been many years since but I always remember his approach and kindness not to mention his outstanding knowledge in his field.

Do not hire this lawyer and also do not follow his recommendations. He threatened me to accept the custody and access assessor prior removing himself from the my family court case. Then later came to know that he worked in hands with the fathers lawyer and got money for me forcing accepting the assessor. Because of this guy, I lost the custody of my both childrens for 6 years and got the custody in trial. He was working in Heydeary Law firm where he was the one of the partner and now this law firm cheated the peoples money which was in the trustee and this law firm is under care of Upper Canada Law society. He knows only to bills you and make huge lump some of money from your pocket. Do not hire him

I went to Mr. Cochrane because of the book he wrote and thought he would be knowledgeable. Not so. It seemed as if he was incapable of ending the case quickly. Also, unfortunately, the other lawyer was quite agressive....not good. Save your self some money and get another lawyer. You can easily find one half the cost and twice as smart.

after paying large bills he really doesn't care if he wins your case. Be careful only interested in your money.

I agree with the review posted on 11/11/13. One-on-one, Michael is personable, knowledgeable and empathetic. Outside of these meetings communication hovers between poor and non-existent. Direction, oversight and documentation provided by assistants was well below expectations given the hourly rates involved.

Didn't ask the right questions or review my financial statement accurately. Charges for every second and is always busy on someone else's case. He seemed very empathetic and likeable, but his attention to details is lacking. Didn't always follow up so I felt like I was always pushing for progress. You really have to keep on top of your own situation in family law...nobody is happy with the high cost.
