I found myself in a difficult situation and knew I needed a lawyer even though I didn't want to get one. Kelly was very knowledgeable, practical and a real person. She outlined my options, chance of success and estimated the costs associated with each step. She was very professional and also cared. I was very pleased (relieved) with the outcome and she didn't overcharge me. I have recommended her to a co-worker who was also happy with her services. She really changed my previous view of lawyers. Thank you Kelly.

She came to court with a single piece of paper with some rough notes printed on it and asked me to confirm the details of my case on the spot. She was unprepared, ineffectual and visibly intimidated (probably because she was so unprepared). She let Duty Counsel have the floor and achieved nothing. She provided no strategy or insight. When I would call her for advice, she would drag on and on, and then send an email reiterating the same information. Of course, she charged for both the phone call and the redundant, unsolicited email. When I complained about this tactic she was indignant and immediately threatened me with collections. Despite the lone scrap of paper that represented my future and the future of my children (and the value of both to this woman), her disbursements were through the roof. Bill padding aside, I now have more familiarity with the family court system and I realize how extremely negligent she was with my case. My case was worse off after her involvement.
