2/9/21	5	5	5	5	5	Tom was a great person/lawyer to deal with. He was able to piece events together that were 20+ yrs old and without question destroyed the lies being told by the complainant. I would recommend Tom and his staff 100% should someone be accused of sexual assault after supposedly being raped by someone else
7/22/18	5	5	5	5	5	Best lawyer in Halifax; very organized and very bright; if you call he answers his phone; always on time for court; very respected by the prosecutors and judges; I was very impressed with how he handled my DUI charges; he persuaded the juge that the police had made numerous mistakes; the juge refused to accept their evidence and threw out the charge against me. would recommend this lawyer any time.
3/16/18	1	1	1	1	1	Here are some good reasons why to AVOID this lawyer: - minimal effort if your case is deemed questionable - extremely poor correspondence - any suggestion from you are ignored - completely money focused - no retainment cost breakdown - specific to my case: - during the trial: - minimal cross exam of the prosecution witnesses - two prosecution witnesses flat out lied under oath - this is factually supported based on their written disclosures - these major discrepencies were NOT cross examined at all - as a result, the judge was not made aware of these discrepencies - final submission: - prosecution witness discrepencies stated above were not mentioned - office "technical" issues rendered email of his final submission impossible - he claimed he MAILED his final submission via Canada Post but I never received it - as a result, I missed the deadline to add my comments to his submission Use this lawyer at your own risk. 3/5/18	5	5	5	5	5	Tom Singleton is an excellent criminal defense lawyer; he represented a family member who was charged with sexual assault; at trial he destroyed the complainant's credibility through a scorching cross-examination; He is reputed to be the top defence lawyer in Nova Scotia and is highly respected by everyone in the legal profession.
8/28/17	1	1	1	1	1	I was not happy with Mr. Singleton. He represented me on a DUI and did a terrible job. I paid him a large sum of money and after telling me I could beat the charge, he told me to plead guilty. I feel I was railroaded by him and that he misled me. I do not recommend him as a Criminal Defence lawyer.
8/27/17	1	1	1	1	1	I used Mr. Singleton for my case and I was not very happy with the quality of his representation. He seems likeable enough but I found that he was not very good overall. I was disappointed with him and I would not recommend him to anyone. I just did not feel he was capable.

2/18/17	5	5	5	5	5	I was wrongfully charged with sexual assault after a bitter divorce; Tom Singleton was able to demonstrate to the court that my step daughter was put up to making the claim by my ex wife as an effort to discredit me during the divorce proceedings. He conducted a very strong cross-examination of the complainant who ultimately broke down on the witness stand and admitted that he mother had helped her concoct the story. great lawyer!!!
9/1/16	5	5	5	5	5	Mr. Singleton represented me in a DUI case in Halifax; other lawyers had told me that I did not have a chance at a trial; Mr. Singleton took on my case and found the key weakness in the Crown case; After his brilliant cross-examinations of the Crown's witnesses, the judge found me not guilty. I would highly recommend Mr. Singleton.
