I am disabled, Veena came to my home the next day. She is smart, streetwise cuts to the chase, knowledgeable, very honest. Has a lot of tenacity, gumption, knows the law well. Very honest, does not exaggerate. Begins the work forthwith. I used to be a judge on a tribunal, seen maybe 500 lawyers in action. Veena is a straight shooter that does her utmost for you, I can recommend her without hesitation. Very astute listener, a quick study. By the way we decided in conjunction not to continue the case as my very poor health and congestive heart failure could not endure it. She puts your interests first and foremost to her utmost credit.

Veena was my 3rd and final lawyer in a very long, contentious and bitter divorce. She was an extremely powerful fighter and advocate for me, which was especially important since I felt that the cards were stacked against me. She could be a pit bull or a diplomat - whatever was needed. She was extremely knowledgeable about the law, but more importantly, because of the complex nature of my case, she was able to draw on her very strong network of legal professionals. I felt like I had a whole team backing me. She argued a very important motion for me and was not intimidated at all by the judge. While my ex's lawyer made very passionate arguments, Veena made LEGAL arguments, passionately. When it was over, because of Veena, I knew it was a slam dunk. I especially appreciated Veena's willingness to be honest and truthful with me. I always found her to bill me honestly, and never had to question her charges. If anything, I found her doing extras which I know she never charged me for.

Dont let the friendly and charming ways fool you. This person is simply an over paid duty clerk. Save yourself time and money go to the court house where there is no charge for legal service. At least there you get what you pay for. She always had to seeks outside advice on what she is to do next. I wonder where in her class she graduated? I suspect closer to the bottom. Her use of foul language is constant so be prepared. Not exactly a professional approach to the law of our land. The invoicing and accounting does not exist and poor at best. If any administrative paperwork appears it will be incomplete and chances are erroneous. Mrs.Pohani court room presence is weak and ready to boast on an accomplishment of small items points. When it comes to the important issues she will let you down, big time. Of course she will deny all of this to you as she did with me when we first met. You would hope that a lawyer has her clients best interest at hand. Don't kid yourself she comes before U.

A friend of mine recommended that I go to her. She is a very good lawyer or they call in my line of business subject matter expert in family law.
What I really liked that she is very hard working and not afraid of any judge, I guess that comes when you have absolute command on your subject, in short, she gets the job done.
I will highly recommend her.

Veena is one of the best family lawyers in Canada. She took on my 7-year old case that was driving me towards bankruptcy. I noticed that she knew how all parts of the system worked & I immediately benefited. She empathized and managed to get Spousal support cut 80%. She went to bat for me with FRO and negotiated an low payment plan to get my arrears in order. She always respected my money and was not the kind of lawyer who is quick to agree to fanciful amounts without forcing the client to give serious thought. She put my spouse on the defensive and kept her off-balance with cleverly written submissions to the court that always prevailed or won costs. She never patronized me and was ready to work for a settlement even though a trial would have made her lots more money. She made a settlement that gave me my life back, something no other lawyer did or seemed capable of. To top it off she called me a month later to remind me to pick up the $2,500 in trust. Hire her you will love her!

Veena was really helpful in my family law file. My mother had
suspected that over 3 Million dollars had been diverted
by my father over a period of two years. Veena looked at the various
and complicated bank statements and agreed
that money had been taken. She set on a path of recovery of those
funds and to this day my mother has been almost whole.
It was expensive, but she was certainly the right person to go to when
you suspect you may have been fleeced out of
millions of dollars.

Veena Pohani delivers. We were trying for an unequal division of assets and I wasn’t very confident that we would succeed. She kept pushing no matter how much the Judge told her it wasn’t going to work. We had three meetings in front of the Judge and she kept trying to persuade the Judge right to the very end that we would be successful for our unequal division of assets claim. Finally in the end, she convinced the Judge and we only paid three fifths of the assets. I was ecstatic.

I hired Veena to represent me against my my wife who had a bulldog lawyer. She wasn't afraid to take risks that worked out.
