Don't go to this guy if; your case is complicated, you are poor, your life or livelihood depends on it. He didn't think collecting evidence was worth the work then undersettled due to lack of evidence. I would have been infinitely better off if I just dealt with the injury alone and let the hit & run driver off to plow more cyclists. He makes his money from icbc, don't go to this guy to take down his biggest employer. 4 years of incapacity to work, extorted by icbc, homeless through a pandemic because I couldn't work, he helped them bleed me dry for this long by doing as little as possible.

For many years, my job required me to work with numerous Personal Injury lawyers. David Hay is one of the most exceptional laywers I've met-both in his professional expertise, but also his interpersonal skills. He is honest,friendly,caring and communicates very well with clients. I have observed some lawyers who meet with a potential client at the hospital dressed in a 5k business suit speaking "legal terms" that are meaningless to the client. Instead of impressing (potential) clients, this type of behavior can be very intimidating to someone who has no experience with such situations. Based on my observations of David Hay interacting with his clients and my knowledge of the excellent outcomes he has achieved for his clients he is definitely among the handful of lawyers I would would recommend retaining for a personal injury claim.

This lawyer is a rarity in the profession. Cant say enough good things about this fellow. Honest, Kind, patient with questions, sharp as a tac, intuitive, responds to calls, and emails quickly. Awsome as a human being and lawyer. One of the best !
