i don't have anything positive to say about J. Kibsey. I agree with others about her billing practices and the poor results of her work. I am a very unhappy past client. She certainly did not help me.

One of the worst attorneys ever, she bills you outrageously for doing nothing. Initial consultation is to bait you in to thinking she is a good listener and meticulous. She is definitely meticulous in billing you for what her paralegal and office secretary do,you end up paying her for nothing. Please avoid this attorney at all cost!!

My experience with Ms. Kibsey was horrible. I felt that her legal expertise was seriously lacking; her negotiating skills atrocious; her work sloppy; her billings inflated and VERY dubious (will be pursued with Queen's Bench Review Committee); her effort questionable; and client rapport dreadful.
After 3 months (and $20,000) of negotiating capitulation, I found the resulting outcome worse than if I had accepted everything opposing council demanded prior to Ms. Kibsey’s involvement.
A few examples:
-She billed for researching the Law Society’s Code of Conduct. Does she not know it? Why bill me? It wasn’t relevant to my settlement.
-She billed many hours related to scanning documents – after I volunteered to submit the documents in electronic format.
-She billed for a phone consultation - prior to a retainer being agreed to.
-She was much senior relative to opposing council and apparently billed at a rate 50% greater – yet opposing council seemed to win EVERY negotiating battle

She does not work for you, works only for her pocket. Persistently Fails to listen to clients instructions.

Over all an excellent attorney. Very caring, passionate and meticulous.
