When looking for a lawyer to help me with a very long drawn out divorce I wanted someone who was knowledgeable,quick to answer my questions and concerns as well as fair in fees. Brooks and her assistant Jill were wonderful to work with.They both provided me everything I looked for in a lawyer. I was always given a honest answers and good advice. I recommend her and her staff to everyone.

Ms.Topp is excellent to work with. She has a strong personality but we found that she was always looking to find the best outcome for the parties involved and wasn't just interested in making money or fighting for the sake of fighting. Ms. Topp was empathetic in the circumstances that required her to be but could also stand her ground when necessary. We always felt we trusted her judgement and respected her advice. Ms.Topp's assistant is professional and provided excellent service and support; when she said we would hear back or receive correspondence we could trust that it would be received. Our phone calls and messages were always returned and in the event that it wasn't possible that was communicated to us. Reality is that going through divorce and in particular a difficult divorce is very costly, but it was our experience that Ms.Topp was extremely fair with her billing and always consulted before moving forward with any action. I would highly recommend Ms.Topp and her team.

The only people on here complaining are those who did not get away with keeping kids or property. Be fair, share. Over ten years at the last firm, and doing well enough to buy an office. No law society disciplinary actions ever. Family lawyers do a job few want, because it attracts a lot negative, unhappy people. Get over losing and get on with living.

This is a lawyer you want to hire only if you want to destroy everything good about yourself and your ex, as well as your family. She will fight and win in court, but you and the other party will lose. She will take all the mud you give her and turn it into things worse than you ever imagined possible. She has no hesitation at creating conflict where there is none and then blaming the opposing party for it. Truth is a concept she has no regard for.

Hammered out an agreement that worked for everyone- she was willing to put in the time needed to make this work and was able to communicate in a way that left no one out

Due to high fee she maintains in her office, she tries to attack the family but coersive more money and slandering the family memebers of their oppurtunities. Never will I risk legality of my situation with her again.

Brooks is not only smart, she is tenacious, and does not back down in the face of a fight. She gets a good outcome because she works hard.
