I have known Mike for many many years. Very nice person. It is time for him to hang it up. He ruined my life and charge me $10,500 to do so. This isn't over Mike. You did a horrible horrible job. I should have listened to everyone. Your colleagues say you're a nice guy but.......

I hired this attorney and I couldn't be more disappointed. He promised me the world and told me everything I wanted to hear and I went to trial for custody of my to young children and I had 4 different hour long office visits for pretrial meetings for me to remind him what was going on with my case. He knew nothing of my case and when I would call him to get answers he would ask me where we were at on the case, like I was the attorney. When we got to trial he sat in his chair and said almost nothing, ALL of the pretrial meetings that we planned and ALL the horrible things my children were being put through never got spoken about and he charged me over $5,000 and took over a year for nothing. I fired him and had my case finished by another attorney and was more than pleased with my new attorney. NEVER retain this attorney EVER EVER EVER EVER.

This attorney is rude and abrasive, which you would think would be a good quality for a lawyer but not to his own clients. He will tell you things to make you think you have a case but then totally change his story during/after a court case. He will sign off on things that are NOT in the best interest of his client and act like it was your fault he did that. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a lawyer to look the other way!! Oh, he will charge you a huge amount to do absolutely nothing for you.

BEWARE OF THIS ATTORNEY. HE Signed my name to a check, FOR $,3,900.00. The check was made out in my name and, NOT INTENDED FOR HIM! He PLACED POWER OF ATTORNEY UNDER IT AND CASHED IT! When I went to him demanding it back he refused, claiming it was "In the Firm". No contract, betrayal of trust, lies, and deception! Over priced and a most dishonest individual! The check was intended for me by the City of Davenport for an unrelated matter. Besides this he lost the case he was supose to present to court. And, he charges people who lost jjobs 1/3 of their measly unemployment checks. One case was for $200.00 a week, Think after two years he would have gleaned $1,584.00. Now that is a sham! Think of whet the unemployed individual would have to live on? $134.00 a week for mortgage, etc. Help Legal SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE REFERAL! This is the truth! Stay away from this law firm and MICHAEL J. MCCARTHY IN THE KAHL BUILDING, DAVENPORT, IOWA HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLET, HE IS SLIME!
