She is a ripoff! I've been waiting 3 months for a refund since she said she filed, then it came back that she didn't. Last response i got from her she stated she would send me a refund of unused money as well as an invoice. I have received nothing, not even a contract from her. I am hoping the State Bar of texas takes things further since I am basically a victim of Marie Mcdermed, as she steals from her clients, in which most of us are very limited on our money. She has not responded to a single one of my 100+ messages and emails, which i sent and called daily! Please everyone stay clear of her, and report her to the state. She should not be licensed to practice! A 1 as a review is too good for her.

My husband and I hired Ms. McDermed for a modification involving his son. Ms. McDermed in no way represented our interest. She lied to us. We had quite a bit of evidence which she went into detail how she would get it admitted. She also told us she was going to call me as a witness. When we were in court it was like I was watching this horrible movie unfold. She presented none of the evidence, allowed my husbands ex to lie on the stand when we had evidence to prove she was lying and did not call me as a witness. My husband kept telling her to present the evidence...she wouldn't listen. She lied to us about discovery. Basically it looked like we brought a modification with no evidence or cause to modify. I'm sure the Judge thought we were idiots. She also suggested a deposition and then when we tried to get it done she went back on it saying that it is rarely done in these cases...then why suggest it. The worst thing is she advertises as a fathers rights attorney. She is a scam plain an
