I had a simple corporate return filing. He quoted me $340 including all disbursements. I forwarded the appropriate documents. Then I did not hear any reply for many months despite politely inquiring - I became concerned that our filing was becoming late. Suspecting he may simply be overbooked and unable to complete the work given his complete lack of reply in any form - I contacted him asking that he please forward our minute book to another office. He then sent a bill for $440. I had no choice but to pay the inflated fee or he would refuse to release our minute book. Not very professional. Not very accountable.
