I can honestly say that had a good experience with this attorney. In general, having to go to court really sucks. Ms. Douglas is definitely good at what she does. Her closing argument in my custody case was flawless and I got sole legal custody of my daughter. Her mother had planted hateful lies in my 7 year olds head and we were able to prove this in Court.

When I made my decision to file for divorce it was a difficult one. Chevelle went above and beyond for me. She was upfront about the challenges we would face but diligently pursued my case. I consulted with other attorneys who said I would not be able to get my kids back but Chevelle did what the other said could not be done. I was able to get custody of my kids. It was hard work but we got it done.

I did no research when selecting this lawyer. I was hoping for the best and in my opinion got bad service and they attempted to rip me off. The whole experience with Chevelle and her firm was frustrating. I was charged for an hour phone call and I believe they subtracted $300 out of my retainer. When I called and told them it was only a 10 minute call they refunded the money and said it was a typo (yeah sure.) The second issue was they submitted a wrong class number in which I was ordered to take. Once the judge received the number it did not correlate to anything so my case sat in limbo for 2 months. Then once she fixed it she actually had the audacity to charge me for re-submitting the number! When I sent an email inquiring about the wrong charge she sent a snide email back to me. Again, I called and explained and the firm reversed the charges. I got the feeling the firm was pushing their lawyers to charge more time. I would not recommend this attorney or firm.
