Without prejudice: As plaintiffs we hired Kevin for a tenancy dispute. Under Kevin's direction, we launched a suit in small claims only to find out through the defense lawyer that our suit was inadmissible and should have been dealt with through the Residential Tenancy Branch. By that time, it was too late, and too much effort, money, and time had been expended to pursue further action.
